I didn't see this in FIFA 2k4...
both teams (Milan and Juve) had very different ways of playing, that u could see were based on players attributes...so, Nedved was all the diference for Juve team, exactly as in real life, coz withuot Nedved Juve is nothing (sorry juventinos)...he pulled up all the plays for Juve's team...I found the way Juve team positioned on the field very realistic...but the realism in FIFA it is really soft, u feel like ur watching a TV match...u can't 'see' as if there were lines written over the field that tell where to this or that player is going...very discreet and unpredictable, btw...
and, well, ok u asked me about PES in 5 star level...look, I don't think that PES is bad...very opposite, I LOVED the demo---- btw...the menus, the music and all, ran very perfectly, but everytime that the players sprites appeared (including on the menu and of course, in the field, in the game itself) the game got sloooooooooowwww...like a slow camera replay ---- do u ever wonder why? if someone get this answer, please tell me...and I'm eagering to play the 'patched' version of it...with Brazilian teams...
----but, back to the point here...if u try playing FIFA 2k4 in the world class level ur gonna see a huge difference too, 'coz the difficulty in amateur level it is already considerable...and, once u learn to use all those in-the-fly options (which is almost impossible with the keyboard) the cpu adversary changes a lot...I only played the demo and tried to defend my team by positioning my players normally, with the arrows, ya know, trying to predict where the cpu was attacking...Nedved always found another way, Del Piero always had a new position to impress my defenders...
the problem with PES playing against cpu, it's that u can predict most of cpu's plays...once u get mastered, even in level 5, u can tell what is gonna be cpu's next play...the only thing that gets harder it is to beat the defenders...just that...coz they get cowardly faster than u...
