mmmmm, I have an Ati 9600XT with 128mb of memory and can play WE2007 just fine at 1024x768 with all the eye candy....a friend of mine has an Ati X850pro too...and now we cannot play PES2008 because they don´t give support for PS2.0???....good move Konami, I hope Nvidia pays you very well for your loyalty.

Sorry, but this sounds like BS to me.It's nearly impossible and those fake infos don't make as a favor. To the poster,i don't know for sure if this is true or not,but i have seen fake crap like that before.PES 6-4GHZ,1gb,256 video and as we all know the game is no way near this.It also said 5gb free space:-puke:.

If you look at supported chipsets then 9600 is there. Pixel shader 3.0 is recommended and not minimum.

On saying that I could well imagine that Nokami are once again making out the recommended system requirements to be more than what's needed. I've got PES6 and despite the recommended spec I can play it at 1280x1024 with all details, highest AA and AF and not have any drop in performance.

Maybe there's hope that PES2008 can indeed run smoothly on my computer. My graphics card is an ATI x1950 Pro which is decent enough, so, fingers crossed :)

Yeah, But

These stats do seem rather high given the average computer spec that Konami's target market will have. But let's not forget that these are the recommended stats - the minimum requirements will be lower. Also, despite the furore about Pixelshader 3, if it says that cards like the old Radeon 9600 and 9800 will be supported then this means the game will be playable, albeit without the full sheen on Nicky Butt's bald patch. Despite having the better game, I can't think that Konami will deliberately want to lose out to EA when EA are already winning on licensing etc by placing the game beyond the reach of stacks of paying computers. At least they're not doing what EA did a few years ago - ie watering the stats down and leading you to believe their games would run on thin air. BTW -I haven't played FIFA since 2004 - have they sorted out their wretched rendering yet?

That's what i found in a bulgarian fan forum for pes7:
MINIMAL:
2.8 GHZ
256 RAM
128 VIDEO
-----------
RECOMENDED:
3 GHZ
512 RAM
256 VIDEO

Not comfirmed, but it's pretty much the real deal, cuz i belive in that forum.

And my comp for now is this:

2.80 GHZ
512 RAM(maybe i will add+512 later this month)
128 video

For now i never had any trouble runing any game.

Dunno,.. but it´s hard to beleive that anyone would play this game with a keyboard and still have a pretty decent gameplay experience.

They recommend you play with a gamepad rather than the keyboard. :)

Look at bioshock's minimum spec :

Operating Systems:
Windows XP (with Service Pack 2) or
Windows Vista
Minimum System Requirements:
CPU: Pentium 4 2.4GHz Single Core processor
System RAM: 1GB
Video Card: Direct X 9.0c compliant video card with 128MB RAM (NVIDIA 6600 or better/ATI X1300 or better, excluding ATI X1550).
Sound Card: 100% direct X 9.0c compatible sound card
Hard disc space: 8GB free space

If you have a pc similar to that pes2008 will run no problem.

Does anyone think we will get a demo prior to the release ?

The rendering engine from FIFA 07 still looks like 2004 in my opinion, still got the unsightly artefacts on the player models, badly resampled colour blotches on the kits and skin tones and the font rendering is still very bad. Doubt they'd fix it for FIFA 08 on the PC either if truth be told, that's EA for you.

Probably not, since you have only 3 MHz, that's like 20 years ago.

No kidding: I think not, maybe everything low or so...
