Paying too much in wages (question)

Just offer your players new contracts, without wage rises and bonuses. So like, if a player is paid 100,000 per month, take it down to 75,000. He will accept. After a couple months, offer him something like 45,000. He will probably accept it too, so you will end up balancing your finances. With Aston Villa, my wage budget was almost 1,500,000 mil, and now its under 1 million. Just check the players that are under performing, and offer them a new contract with lower wages but a decent squad status and he'll probably accept. Even Alpay accepted a wage reduction, and he didnt complain just for once this season, now that's something remarkable.:mrpimp:

I never put wage rises, for example your 75.000, you use 10% wage rise, after 1 year it is 82.500', than again 10%, than it is 90.700 (if I'm correct). On long term those wage rises are very annoying.

damn right, never never never ever give wage rises of more than 5%, its a sure fire way to lose money.

Some other annoying thing:

For example PSV can give a maximum of 27k a week. Kezman already has about that amount at the start of the game,+ 15% yearly wage rise (i think). After 2 years he has about 33000, and than I still only could give 27000 a week, he will not agree on a lower wage and leave on a free. Players like that you should give a new contract immediatly when you start, and give no wage rise. Often they accept the same wage, but without the wage rise.

But this way you'll lose your stars due to that. And for a low price maybe, unless you give them min. fees like Real Madrid does, something like 131 mil min fee for Ronaldo.

In Spain you have to give min. release fee. It's a rule

yeah, but i like it, you can make small, younger players feel welcome using it.
