Paying too much in wages (question)

I am managing the Blackburn Rovers and currently my wage bill is $640,000 dollars a week, and the club want me to get it down to $500,000. The problem is that if I do that, I will have to get rid of a bunch of starters, although getting rid of Yorke and Cole will do almost all of the work. My question is what will happen if I don't get it down all the way? Thanks for the help, and by the way, I am addicted to this game. I should be awesome in a few years, I have signed Adu (pending work permit appeal), Farnerud, Adam Rundle, and Cherno Sumba so far, all look to be good in the future and Farnerud is already starting with the first team.

yeah if you do well it doesnt really matter, achieve and get into europe and your wage budjet will increase anyway. Sell fringe players first but other than that wait to see how you go this season. If you dont achieve the desired result yet somehow manage to keep your job then worry about selling players.

I always keep a very close look on my wages, I played with Chelsea and lost very much money, main reason: the wages. I try never to use wage rises

Could there be a possibility that I could get sacked after one year? I have a lot of good youth talent but the only player I added to my first team was Alexander Farnerud.

Yeah, but they will sack u quicker if ur results and finances r sh!t than if just ur results r sh!t.

best advice here, they wont sack you if you play well.

I did request for expanding the stadium in 2002/03 and they agreed. Now I am at the start of 2006/07 and the stadium still is the same

They give me a transfer budget of 60 million, I think they can make the stadium a lot bigger with some of that money.
BTW do clubs sometimes get another stadium in CM4

If u play against good competition...u will get a decent crowd and make some money.


I play with Real...and every second week I host a cup which includes Barca and some Serie A team plus one another team.

This week...
I got 20,000+ for the Barca semi-final and then 40,000+ in the final against Milan. The Cup basically brings in the equivalent of a sold out league home game.

This basically keeps me in the black for now...until I can shrink the huge wage bill.

Thankfully some contracts wil expire this season.

PS...play ur C team players in the friendlies...u get the same crowds if u suck ....I lost 3-0 to Milan in the final bc I played my youth players.....I didn't want to waste my starters with La Liga game the following day.
