Your May 27 version is getting there. After a few hours of gameplay with these I can give some feedback.

- There needs to be more of a battle for possession. The CPU AI's passes are too direct. Everyone passes very well with little error and the awareness seems too high.

- Fouls, the contact is almost there but the ref will not call for a foul or if a player is drawn to the ground with a heavy challenge. If the CPU didn't predict to pass to fast to a teammate, there could be more of a fight for for the ball.

- Weak food usage. It just doesn't look right. You notice it quite often. I think this has to do with how ++ passing is.

It's the little things. The build up play, shooting and just general flow of the game are incredible from original. Thank you for that.

Exactly this. This could easily make Barca look more like Barca and other small teams looks like them. The game feels pretty good in the latest patch.

Hmm..

The only issue with re-enabling the AI Objective Manager is that the game goes back to:
- passing all the time outside the box rather than attempt to shoot
- instead of dribbling toward goal, a player would run to the crossing area and pass it back to the full back

because of this you lose all the attacking play we had before.

I played Man City twice, with AI Objective Manager on and off.

on:
4 shots on goal
1 tackle
50/50 possession
off:
21 shots on goal
18 tackles
65/35 possession

Not sure whether to try and get it to work without AI Objective Manager or try and improve it with it

Is that that amount of shots and tackles for the CPU? I think keep it off since the attack-build up play for the CPU AI is wonderful at this point. There is variety in attack and possession.

I think if possible, just tweak passing to be more error stricken. Currently, the CPU passes are godly sometimes even on weaker teams. I don't mind letting them pass it around with good possession but closing down a player is very difficult at times. There just isn't a battle there- maybe that's why such little fouls. That, along with the weak-foot issue and increase fouls and you'll have it right on.

Hi Paul, i think Your latest 27 may ini is very good. The gameplay now have more real situation. Is the best at the moment, and i think could be final version.
Only one thing about me. The ref call few foul. Is there a way to increase this?

I agree. That way, Aston Villa doesn't play like Barca and always have 65% possession and incredible pass accuracy. I have seen this a lot on every gameplay patches where there are no possession battle because how the A.I does quick turn precision dribbling with any player and you cannot easily get the ball out of them especially in legendary.

Basically all the A.I players play like this and it's so frustrating.



Such dribbling should only occur rarely even on players like Messi, Hazard or Ronaldo and almost none for other players.

I play manager campaign controling only one player(centermidfield) and i realy notice huge diferences between bad\good players.

10 min each half-legendary-slow speed

fouls- 3-4(the highest fouls result i had i think)

good suffered win

there is no perfect balance, i have been trying for years.

the design behind everything is what ruins the gameplay, if attributes
weren't used the way EA uses them we would have incredible AI.

you have to take the good with the bad and decide which you would rather have.

you can request any and everything but there is no way you will ever get it all.

HAHA! If there is such a thing as quote of the year on these forums. I have to admit, I'd vote for this! :)

Trouble is I work with a lady who is in the Wales team. BUT, apparently Wales are not important enough to be included, even though she plays for Reading.

On Topic:

RC is right, there is no easy fix. EA need to sort out the attributes to really win us over. The player traits need revisiting so that the game does not rely so heavily on attributes to make decisions.

We will never win as the game is tailored for Ultimate Team / Online modes. (Where the money is)

But... I will take what you have said on board and spend the odd hour here and there looking into it. My personal life and work life has taken over at the moment. So apologies for late replies and not much effort being put in.

I don't think it's going to be fixed in FIFA 16. EA Sports will just announce that were are no ladies on FIFA 16 and few features in FUT and that's it. Another year of the same old gameplay maybe even more robotic A.I to please the kids who expect to play basketball soccer.

Paul, thank you for all your hard work. I just wanted to know where can i find the strings to change the stamina usage ingame? All the players have abput 90% stamina left after playing a full 90 minutes. I am just using your 27 May version.

27 May version is so close to being perfect. In order to enjoy it fully, set the match time to 20 minutes. The only minor issue I have faced is the CPU passing. Doesn't matter what team they are, they always pass like Arsenal and Barcelona ever so precisely. A lot of short passes and 1 to 1 passes and the passes reaction is so quick like they all the CPU players knows where each player on the field is located at and predict the pass on the perfection. I close one of them down but they still manage to precisely pass it to another opponent and my players doesn't make the effort to automatically intercept the pass. I haven't see any long passes yet either. Apart from them, everything else is as good as it gets.

Here's a video to showcase the problem. I was playing with Chelsea against Besiktas. It is a little bit frustrating when every single team play like this. If FIFA 16 doesn't fix it, then they only care about player vs player gameplay.
