The truth is, barrysun has already modified the previous obra to opus, but for just two colourways. He has also created the new obra model. You could use his new obra to create the new opus. Just an idea...

Well, I didn't look into a particular boot model. I am a bit confused now. Does it mean that we need total 4 models for magista (obra, opus for 2 generations)? And barrysun already made 3 models out of 4? So you guys want me to transform the new generation obra from barrysun to new generation opus because he didn't make it? (assuming that he only made changes on the model but not on the UVs)

So the current model is fit for the new HV? I just need to make it more similar to how it looks in real life?

I think it is better to wait for patzor and nabo to speak as they will create the texture and pack the boots.:D

If we use the new magista textures in barrysun model of old opus, there's a little mistake on it that makes the texture not to match... as Juraj said, it's better to use barrysun's model to update the new opus textures. And about the new Hypervenom 3, Nike did it in both models: Phantom and Phinish. Higuaín and many other players are actually playing with Phinish model... I guess that Phinish players are playing with the same version in HV 3

We can't add anything to the model but just hide the sock and tweak the model. What exactly you want me to do?

Sorry for beeing late but I took my time for studying the 3d models we got for Nike boots.
After some assessments I came to the conclusion that Nike Magista Obra model is the best model we can use.
Take a look at the picture below :

I just put three 3d models and the real one beside.

I didn't take into consideration the mercurial model since it has nothing to do with the model we are searching for.

As you can see no one matches with the real counterpart...Hypervenom Phinish lacks 3 spikes and, in addition, there's the problem that you can hide parts of the boot but you can't add ones; Hypervenom Phantom lacks 2 spikes...I could have taken it into consideration but, believe me, the texture linked with that model is a nightmare to handle...really rough! too many stretched and distorted parts! furthermore, the boot looks "fat" in game.
The only model that could suit the boot is Magista Obra...more or less the same number of spikes and the texture is smooth. And, we could kill two birds with one stone since Dynamic-fit collar boot and low-cut one are identical (for the third chapter of the saga Nike made 2 models that share everything, except the collar naturally):

Just backside swoosh needs a little touch....but for a bootmaker this part is a piece of cake!
If you can, you should start from the Obra model...try to tweak the spikes (as you can see from the pics below, the ones on top have the shape of an arrow/boomerang):

try to adjust the collar (the cutting is not flat):

This way, the Dynamic fit model is done!
After that, you should fully hide the collar (basically, what you did for Vapor model last spring) and the low-cut model is done too!
Well, spikes could give you some troubles....if you find it difficoult to handle, forget about!

Yes..obra model is better..and easyer to do it..nabo you are doing hv with colar?

As I wrote in the previous post, if lth finds the way to edit obra model, who makes low-cut boot, makes dynamic fit collar and the other way around since textures are quite the same (except for the backside swoosh and the collar)

I think the arrow shape strikes are possible because the original strikes are the same corners polygons. I have to check if there is animation bug after I make the changes. I will check it today.

Great news mate! And what about opus II, would you be able to make them, based on barrysun's obra II?

Did Barrysun release it? I checked his thread but I didn't find it

He actually did, a quite long ago. He has made the collar of the boot a bit curvy, like the real one, plus he's also made the studs properly (like a circle). If you can't find the boot, I'll try to send you over

I have been working on it for the past hour. The main problem is that some vertices of the strikes don't behave properly in mirror editing and proportional editing (Last year I didn't edit any strikes). I tried a few solutions I could think of but they broke the file structure and data. There are still two possible solutions I have not tried them yet. The first one is editing one side at a time and recording all changes in each step and doing it again for another side. The second one is using sculpt mode. Mirror editing is perfect in sculpt mode but the the surface will most likely become uneven. I am still googling any solution that could mirror the model perfectly without altering the file structure and data.:md:

Can you send me the model? Maybe I can find some hints to solve my problem. The worst idea is editing vertex by vertex. I hope his model is perfectly mirrored.
