He started because Mario Gomez, last season's footballer of the year, was injured. Gomez is a sure starter, Cacau, Marica and Ewerthon will rotate. They might play three of them at the same time so everyone should get plenty of playing time.

What happened against Hertha, i was expecting some sort of smashing, Hertha are not that good anymore, they haven't done anything in the transfer window.
