He's been good. He still makes mistakes too often, but this is probably due to his age. Defending he is great, he was MotM for me vs. Arsenal. He is linked with Chelsea already, so that says something about his quality, although I dont think he's ready for that level yet.

He also seems injury prone...

Well he's still young so i hope hell get better. He is often compared to Ricardo Carvalho, and just for your information Carvalho finally only got a starting spot at Porto when he was like 25-26, cuz before that he was getting passed around lower tier teams. So at the age of 20-21 Da Costa is already ahead of him.

But i dont like how he is injury prone, not good for a young player, playing physically demanding position, hopefully it doesnt affect his career.

Thanks for the reply man

i'm trully happy for PSV proceeding to the quarters.
But i wonder now- what will happen if they face Chelsea there? any suggestions?!?

Well, I guess we'd have a home and an away tie? Do you have a better suggestion, I don't think both PSV or Chelsea would be very keen to play their home game somewhere else...

Alex is on loan from Chelsea atm, like he has been for the past couple of 3 seasons. He should be able to get a work permit by now (although he couldve gotten one immediatly imo, even Kalou got one)

Chelsea has more connections with PSV, that's obvious, but it's unclear to what extend. Da Costa, Farfan and Salcido are rumoured to be (partly) owned by Chelsea, financed by them, or Chelsea simply have a first option on them. Alcides is loaned by PSV from Chelsea too.

The connections even go further, Arnesen was PSV's director for a few years, and Piet de Visser works for both PSV and Abramovich at the moment.

...and PSV is part of some Russian maffia network spread over the entire world and lead by Abramovich, which practically makes about every PSV player a property of Chelsea.

alright. i was asking about the motivation of players that are partly owned by the team they're potentially forced to play against...

I was looking through youtube and found this great video, had to post it, certainly seeing our current striker problem.

Luc Nilis, what a legend, he was of a different class, better than van Nistelrooy, Kezman, Farfan and Ronaldo.

Played from 1994 to 2000 for PSV, scoring 110 league goals, and a lot of beauties.

Nilis sure was class alright.

As for Chelsea owned PSV players. The players do actually belong to us as far as I know and are, as mentioned, only at PSV until they qualify for a work permit in England. When that will be I dont know. I have heard that due to the terms of the loan agreement for Alex for example, he will be unable to play against us if we meet each other in the CL. The same goes for Crespo if we meet Milan.

By the way......nice victory. You made my evening very enjoyable indeed......:)

I already mentioned it on the chelsea thread but will re-post it here. PSV are sort of renting alex, and is a dual ownership between them, according to the psv manager. So because of this, Alex is eligible to play against chelsea.
