Owen has the reputation of a galactico, not the football. Just look at his record on International Stage : 2 goals in the WC 2002, One measly goal in Euro 2004. He got a few goals for us last season (even with bad service), but still, if he scored all the penalties and some sitters we could've finished higher, or maybe with less than 30 points gap away from Arsenal.Originally posted by bbranco10
Do you guys watch the premiership at all? Because whenever this guy is on the pitch, he is a huge threat. He always is.

I'll edit. Anyway, a galactico is supposed to score more than 2 goals in a WC (the one against Brasil thanks to a great assist by Lucio).Originally posted by Atlas
He score 2 golas in World Cup 2002
one agains Brasil and I think another against Denmark
Yeah, that differs the very good ones from the world class ones.Originally posted by Champions!!!
International stats don't really mean much though. There are a lot of players out there that perform very differently on the international stage to they do in club games.

Shevchenko has to be pleased with the poorness of the rest of the Ukrainian team. I'm a Milan fan aswell and dont expect me to say that Sheva sucks so you're getting it all wrong. The WC says about country and single players. Like it or not, the World Cup is still the world's biggest stage in terms of football (Euro 2nd, CL 3rd).Originally posted by Atlas
So than does Shevchenkos sucks?
he hasn't score in any big turnament.
but I still think he is one of the best in the world.
So the world cup doesn't say much.
It says more about countres than single players
ofcourse some players shine alot with the help of their
country.
Ir Ronaldo or any other player was Ukranian he wouldn't
have score any goals in the world cup.
