Superstar
Mexico should have won anyway, they were the only one's who even attempted to press during the game. Iceland just sat back and defended for most of the match.

The atmosphere was incredible. Those fans deserved better than to see C-squads from both those nations. It was awesome seeing B of A as a soccer pitch.

I hope Soccer United Marketing realizes the potential of the market and decides to bring some big time clubs here in the future.

MLS season starting tonight. In my usual fashion, I will be plastered in front of the TV watching for maybe the first four or five weeks after which I completely lose interest in watching and solely follow it online.

I'm excited to see Seattle's atmosphere again. I think the Union are gonna get a little bit raped tonight.

Nowak's team, while devoid of talent, should be organized and tough to break down defensively. I do think that Seattle have too much talent not to win this game, though.

Drinking game for tonight: drink every time Freddy Montero gets hacked, twice if it's not called.

Philadelphia is really bad. They have a comical set of defenders, well, one less of them now.

I never really got the Seitz hype either. He's not bad by any means, but he's hardly the superman some made him out to be.

Danny Califf is generally pretty good, as is Orzco, except he's playing in the midfield. Shavar Thomas is not bad either, don't know why he's not on the field. There's defensive talent there, just not in this formation. The outside backs do look laughable, so maybe a 3-5-2 would work better.

Harvey is really, really bad. I lost count of how many times he gave the ball away, and he played Montero on for the goal.

Seattle could have won this by 5 or 6 if they hadn't been so sloppy. The Union were giving the ball away like they were running a charity organization.

Yeah, they're a bit rough, even for a Nowak-coached team. When he coached DC United, the players would foul persistently but tactically, slowing down the game and breaking up the flow of the opponent; these guys just want to play by UFC rules. That only works when Alex Prus is reffing the game.

Haha.

Looking forward to Saturday's game. Should be a good atmosphere. Hopefully New York aren't as awful as last year.
