Congrats to RSL! It's important for the new franchises to make it to the post season. I think they have a really good chance to knock out Chivas.

BTW gotta love the MLS playoff system. DC United or NYRB will be representing the 4th seed in the Western Bracket

FAIL.

weather is no excuse man. they sell out football and baseball games up there week after week this time of year.

fair-weather is a more appropriate term in this case.

5200 is pathetic no matter what the weather is like, or what day of the week it is, for what could very well be your team's only home playoff game this year.

I'm a little disappointed that the Fire went so conservative against a depleted New England side. Rolfe at right mid? He's coming off a hat trick ffs. I don't know, maybe it was the smart thing to do. But I guarantee Hamlet wouldn't have played a 4-5-1 if MLS had adopted the away goals rule.

You've got to give credit to Nicol for mobilizing his side with all the absences they were facing.

By the way, Seattle had sold 17,000 season tickets BEFORE the Ljungberg signing. That's pretty f'ing amazing. They're going to make Toronto look like Kansas City.

You forgot to put three things into consideration:

A.) The stadium is in the middle of f*cking nowhere. They say that its in between Providence and Boston, but it could be between Billings and Fargo for all we know.

2.) Public transportation only goes there on days when the Patriots play.

D.) We already know that this team isn't gonna win MLS Cup, so why f*cking bother?

Except not because they'll be playing in a 70,000 seat stadium.

Someone needs to tell the Krafts and Steve Nicol that you can't do a miracle on a shoestring. We played this season with a whopping $600,000 of unused cap space. In fact, I'm actually somewhat surprised that this team went as far as it did under the circumstances. After all, we played the season with what was pretty much a 12 man senior roster, since building depth seems to be a totally foreign concept to management. Once the injuries started piling up, the writing was on the wall. For most of the season, our bench and at least two or three of our starting XI were at best, USL-2 material. As for Khano F*cking Smith, he isn't even good enough to play in a Thursday night indoor rec league, let alone the highest level this country has to offer. In closing, I'm hoping that next season ends with a different, more positive outcome, but I just don't see it happening as long as the current regime is overseeing things.

Hey look on the bright side, you won the SuperLiga!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great game between Chivas and RSL tonight. Playoff soccer at its finest.

What I can't figure out is when exactly Yura Movsisyan became a good soccer player. Watching him last season, I couldn't help but think he was headed to the USL. Now it's entirely possible that he'll get called up to the US national team's annual January training camp. He's only 21.
