I will probably make a big roster update for the new season ( for Fifa 2002 of course ) and would like to see this level difference between teams and players

I'm afraid it is out of my power to change differences between one set of attributes to another. What you will notice is that shooting with a bad striker, will usually result in a poor shot, whereas the Beckham’s and Ronaldo's of FIFA 2002 will have much better chances of scoring. This is due to the shot assistance on goal, which has been decreased a lot from the original EA file. You really have to aim the shot and get the curve on it right.
The player fatigue is slightly different. The players' stamina will drop much faster, giving shorter sprints where passing the ball will become essential to great play, but the stamina bar will increase faster than before, so you can have more attempts at taking on defenders although the overall stamina bar will NOT recharge to its threshold every time you do a sprint. This means make the most of your players' energy if you want to good at this game, otherwise you'll end up conceiving a goal and will need to make substitutions to stand a chance at getting some good chances at goal.
The passing is slower, you can't just hit a ground pass to any player now, and the ball will probably get taken away by defenders. You have to pick your receiving player's using timing and knowledge, you can't just go hitting the ball around anywhere you please...it just doesn't work like that, it's NOT what I'm trying to achieve.
The CPU is harder, much more balanced and their shooting comes in a rather unpredictable fashion. You might see them miss a 5 yard easy shot, but then you might see Zidane shoot a 25 yard screamer from no where! The goalkeepers save a lot more shots too.
