The lockout will end in the next week, maybe in the next few days. There will be a lot of free agents looking for teams. There will also be rule changes in effect (shootout).

My favorite rumor. The Flyers will sign Scott Niedermayer. :rockman:

I'll only believe it when the two douchebags actually hold a press conference and apologize to the fans, but knowing thats too hard for them, I can easily see the talks breaking down again. Face it, Bettman and Goodenow can't and won't get their sh*t in order.

nooo, say it ain't so. Wow with this lockout, it seems like i don't even have a favorite team even though my team is the Devils, I will feel so out of place watching hockey next year.

All teams will have an equal chance at getting the #1 pick in the draft. I will go crazy if we get it.

I would only trade Crosby if we got something like Iginla, Dion Phaneuf and a bunch of picks in return. We would win the cup within the next three years, while it would take 10 years for Calgary to reach the finals.

half of the Leafs roster is senile by now :( it's gonna be hard to get back into the hockey groove, to be honest... it's never gonna be the same again

I felt the same way until I started playing NHL EHM. Now I can't wait for the NHL to come back. Especially with the new rules that are supposed to help make the game more fast paced.

And rumour has it that the Leafs will sign Jason Allison once the CBA is agreed.

What the heck is NHL EHM?

Anyways, it'll be wierd because we'll recognize all the players but not remember their names off the top of our heads. Is ESPN still going to broadcast in the States?

Eastside Hockey Manager. It's from the creators of Football Manager.

Prolly not, and even if they did, they'll only show a handful of playoff games. Your better off getting the NHL Centre Ice PPV package, if you can afford it.

No, I live in Canada so I get games every day on TSN,Sportsnet,CBC,New WI,Global, highlights on the Score, etc.

I just wanted to know about ESPN because the Canadian channels don't show the Avalanche games as much but ESPN alternative shows them a lot. What about Comcast Sports?

Sorry, I didn't know ya lived right on the border until after I posted. Even though I don't live in Colorado, most, if not all of the regular season games for the Avs will be on Altitude, a regional sports network that they started up in conjunction with the Nuggets. As for ESPN, they decided to tear up the existing TV contract they had with the league, and even if they decide to pull a U-turn, don't expect a lot of coverage. In other words, only a handful of playoff games will be shown should ESPN buy the TV rights. I've also heard rumours that USA (a corporate partner of NBC, who hold network rights), or even Spike TV could buy the cable rights.

Cool, I get those stations. It's just that with ESPN, you had the luxury of choosing which game to watch because of ESPN alternative channels. I recieve the Detroit ESPN but I could watch the Avs play on ESPN Alt instead of watching the Red Wings. Anyways, did you guys look at that list of free agents available-scary. I'm just hoping that Peter Forsberg and Adam Foote resign.
