I have the feeling that this was a cover up gone wrong. I find it really hard to believe that the NFL totally overlooked what looked like a standard thing... which is look for the video in the elevator. Someone decided to leak it anyway and now the Ravens and the NFL look like they shit their pants and are scrambling to save face.

I'm 90% sure they saw it. If TMZ can get it you know the NFL can get it, their security department is made up largely of ex-FBI and police.

This!.

Also, when this first happened, I thought she had thrown a punch, that caused him to retaliate (not that such a scenario would have justified what he did and happened, his action and suspension), but after seeing this video, I'm glad to hear he has been cut.

Looking forward to hearing what The Herd will say tomorrow, after today he said that the video would not change anything in his 2 game suspension.

Goodell was in Charlotte tonight to speak at a dinner where Jerry Richardson was being presented with an award, he decided not to show.

Who was the best NFL running back that you have seen in your life?
For me, it is easy - Barry Sanders.

Regrettably, I did not watch him in college but I can't think of anyone that came close.

A distant 2nd, for me, would be TD - Terrell Davis. And I would have Emmit Smith at #3.

Greg Hardy is inactive this week, sending the strong message that if you slap a woman and throw her on a bed full of guns you can play in week 1 and thus get paid for the rest of the season, but you sure as hell aren't playing in week 2.

Yeah Barry Sanders without question. And his one season at Oklahoma State is the greatest individual season in football history.

Bunch of -- very whiny -- national media figures in town today. It was wet and the Panthers won. They're miserable. It's nice.

Peterson texted the boy’s mother and acknowledged what he had done and that she would be “mad at me about his leg. I got kinda good wit the tail end of the switch.”

Peterson also allegedly texted the child’s mother that he “felt bad after the fact when I notice the switch was wrapping around hitting I [sic] thigh. . . . Got him in nuts once I noticed. But I felt so bad, n I’m all tearing that butt up when needed! I start putting them in timeout. N save the whooping for needed memories!”

Oh boy.
