OMG man, are you obsessed by weather?
OMG what? i'm trying to figure out what's up with weather in FIFA 11. Today I have been taking a close look at weather in FIFA 10. I noticed that in FIFA 10 there doesn't seem to be any way to control the weather. (when you select overcast in the game, there's no way for you to control whether or not it rains or snows or not)
Wouldn't it be nice in FIFA 11 PC if during the winter, it actually snowed and when players dribbled around and created tracks in the snow. how bout if you could set it to heavy rain, and if you had a damaged field, the field would become muddy throughout the game, make the players uniforms muddy, make the ball muddy, and make the field degrade into mud as the match goes on.
So outsider, we are told we are getting "next-gen" for PC. Well what is next gen anyway? If you can't get muddy, if you cant have a field visually be covered by snow, next-gen means nothing.
I thought we were getting a brand new PC version. It sounds like nothing about weather and field degradation will change in FIFA 11 PC. I look forward to FIFA 11 PC for the gameplay updates, but the real things that make the sport unique, like weather, like field degradation, like humidity, like temperature, are simply not present in FIFA 10. (besides the ball effect on the ground in rain)

By the way the weather will be like FIFA 10 NG with some improvements for manager mode (to avoid playing 90% of matches at night and with rain). There is no dinamic weather, but it is realistic one, rain and snow are there and they are good, don't worry!!!
That's good information Outsider. My problem is that in FIFA 10 PC when I play an exhibition match and set it to overcast, it seems like 90% of the time, it is not raining at the start of the match. (that's the opposite of the manager mode problem you reference)
You say rain and snow are there. But my question is what improvements will there be in rain and snow. Will there be visual improvements? Will the snow actually stick on the field? In FIFA 10 PC, we had to made snow pitches. Shouldn't we expect FIFA 11 PC to have snow accumulation on the pitch? After all, this is supposedly "next-gen".
