How bout dyanmic weather in FIFA 11 PC? Will we have the ability to set specific in-game weather? Like rain, snow, ice, heavy rain, heavy snow, temperature? I think it's about time FIFA have these in-game settings.

And fans running on the pitch and other stuff would be nice and realistic too:borat:

This is not available:blush:

There must be some enhanced weather effects in FIFA 11 PC. FIFA 10 PC's rain wasn't bad, but it didn't seem to happen for an entire match, just for a minute here or there. Perhaps even if those settings aren't included, perhaps in FIFA 11 weather happens in more realistic ways. (like storms can for an entire match, instead of just a few minutes you know)

Has they released any information on weather improvements for the PC?

OMG man, are you obsessed by weather?
By the way the weather will be like FIFA 10 NG with some improvements for manager mode (to avoid playing 90% of matches at night and with rain). There is no dinamic weather, but it is realistic one, rain and snow are there and they are good, don't worry!!!

OMG what? i'm trying to figure out what's up with weather in FIFA 11. Today I have been taking a close look at weather in FIFA 10. I noticed that in FIFA 10 there doesn't seem to be any way to control the weather. (when you select overcast in the game, there's no way for you to control whether or not it rains or snows or not)

Wouldn't it be nice in FIFA 11 PC if during the winter, it actually snowed and when players dribbled around and created tracks in the snow. how bout if you could set it to heavy rain, and if you had a damaged field, the field would become muddy throughout the game, make the players uniforms muddy, make the ball muddy, and make the field degrade into mud as the match goes on.

So outsider, we are told we are getting "next-gen" for PC. Well what is next gen anyway? If you can't get muddy, if you cant have a field visually be covered by snow, next-gen means nothing.

I thought we were getting a brand new PC version. It sounds like nothing about weather and field degradation will change in FIFA 11 PC. I look forward to FIFA 11 PC for the gameplay updates, but the real things that make the sport unique, like weather, like field degradation, like humidity, like temperature, are simply not present in FIFA 10. (besides the ball effect on the ground in rain)

That's good information Outsider. My problem is that in FIFA 10 PC when I play an exhibition match and set it to overcast, it seems like 90% of the time, it is not raining at the start of the match. (that's the opposite of the manager mode problem you reference)

You say rain and snow are there. But my question is what improvements will there be in rain and snow. Will there be visual improvements? Will the snow actually stick on the field? In FIFA 10 PC, we had to made snow pitches. Shouldn't we expect FIFA 11 PC to have snow accumulation on the pitch? After all, this is supposedly "next-gen".

man, what are you and wanna be able to control the weather, God? and what is realistic in this, that you could predict and define the weather elements? have you not ever seen any football match where the rain stops and starts over again? it's kinda good actualy, cause you listen to the sportscaster commenting the weather condition... and about the boot tracks, c'mon... you must be kiddin'... fifa 11 pc is a console-based game. this feature you are asking for was not even present in the console versions, and you have the demand to have it in PC?! be reasonable...

In FIFA 10 NG (and so in FIFA 11 PC too) there is NO dynamic weather, so if the game tells you before the match that the match is gonna be rainy, you will have rain. If it tells you that it gonna be cloudy, then it will be cloudy without raining... If it tells you it gonna be snowy, then you will get snow.
Enough clear now? :D

So then there will be a difference between FIFA 10 PC and FIFA 11 PC in this regard? In FIFA 10 PC, the game does not tell you before the match if there is rain or snow. You can only select winter on or off, and overcast, or clear. So unlike in FIFA 10 PC, in FIFA 11 PC you will be able to know before you go into a match what the weather conditions?

I am asking this because I do not play console FIFA, only PC.

What? I am talking about exhibition matches mainly. You already can control various things like whether the sky is overcast, clear, sunset, or night. Why shouldn't you control how much rainfall happens during the match? In other EA games like Madden you can control this for exhibition matches.

i agree with rain stopping and starting. let me be clear that i like that and that is a good thing. BUTTTTT

what i am saying is it would be nice if you could control how much it actually rains. it'd be nice if you could control how windy it is. you know, whether conditions. This is not being unreasonable. These are things that have been in games for 10 years, and are not in FIFA. Sometimes the rain stops and starts throughout the game. But sometimes the rain pours the entire match nonstop. You should be able to select whether or not you have light rain, medium rain, or heavy rain and whether it starts and stops or stays consistent. Other sports games by EA have this.

I like having unpredictable weather patterns in manager or season mode. I am talking about EXHIBITION MODE!

Again. I am simply asking what improvements we can expect in FIFA 11 PC. It sounds like boot tracks are not something that will happen for FIFA 11 PC. But how is that unreasonable. Boot tracks in snow were in Madden 04, was even in NFL Gameday 2004 on PS2. This is 7 years later and it's not even in a "next-gen" PC game soccer game?

I'm not demanding anything. I am asking if these things are in FIFA 11 PC. Is it too much to ask to have a white snow filled pitch when it snows? You know when it snows in real life, the pitch is white and the snow gets thicker throughout the match. Expecting this in a "next-gen" football game is unreasonable?

true, the white turf is a feature that everybody would like to have, just like in PES, but... EA has another developing team for FIFA and another for the other games, a thing that does not allows to communication tips from one game to the others (unfortunately)... but, lets have 3 hurras for our modding comunity!!! people like junjoong, reg, KDK and others that i can't recall atm are able even to import boots tracks, as they created a great snow-white turf for fifa 10 pc ;)!

Yes, that's it!
And when it snows, depending on the pitch conditions and geographical position you will see also white turf (hope they fixed the bug in manager mode where you could not take the orange ball to play with in snowy matches) ;)

For snow pitch see here for example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dPwUtzznCMU
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HA_NGIzX0VE&feature=related
This is the most drastic whiteness you will see in the game, then there are also less white turfs.

Another: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EyTBgXFHbTk
Everything then depends on the geographic area you play: for example, playing in Italy, I have never seen that completely white turf and neither the snow falling down, but maybe it could be the case in Norway or Sweden ;)

Few snow: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bdm5f0E8Kvc

This is the kind of snow turf I have in Italy matches:

Enough different pitches for you mate? :D

^Yeah. That's exactly what I wanted to know. I can't wait to have some weather conditions like that on PC.

How about fatigue and stamina? Will there be a slider for that? Will there be any additional gameplay elements or control features introduced into the front end for FIFA 11 PC? How about new goalkeeper controls. One thing that would be good to have down the road in FIFA is set plays on set pieces. like you should be able to call specific plays before putting a free kick or corner kick into play. on corners, you should be able to call a play to set players in motion and try to time the corner like you see in real life. There should be enhanced throw-in controls, where you have to run to the ball and pick it up then throw it back into play. And you should be able to walk a few yards up or down the sideline before throwing it in like you see in real life.

It all looks great outsider, but there is much more room for improvement. When it rains on a damaged field, there should be visable mud that kicks up as the match goes on. and different parts of the field should become dirt and mud as the match goes on. as of now we just have unchangeable pitch textures.

One thing I hope is that FIFA 11 PC has better default mow patterns. And I hope mow patterns aren't buggy like they are in FIFA 10. Shouldn't you be able to change mow patterns in-game?

Will there be any improvements to Team Styles in FIFA 11 PC? In FIFA 10, one thing I disliked is that I had to pause the game to change team styles a lot. It'd be nice if the team styles on / off options could be mapped to the keyboard, even if you have a joystick. it'd be nice to change team styles on the fly while lining up for a goal kick or something. that'd help make multiplayer matches flow.

Have you heard about any improvements for FIFA 11 PC in this regard? Any change to formations? Any new gameplay elements in FIFA 11 PC that allow you to control when teammates make runs like you used to be able to do in FIFA 07?
