Couple of things id like to say after today's match

Luque
One of LUQUES' family members was in an accident, and he requested if he could return home, and glen roeder said he had no problem whatsoever. So dnt slag him off, Luque is a level-headed guy, and would'nt walk out for being left out.
Dyer
Also like to mention kieron dyer player like his old self when he came on (Fit,Sharp,Quick and wanted the ball) Good to see him back. But for peeps that saw the whole 90 mins, it proves if u look at the west brom game compared to his comeback 2day, there is no way kieron should of played in that game at all. THX SOUNESS !:nape: allways rushing peeps back
Emre
And i would like to see the pass completion percentage % for emre. Because the guy never seemed to put a pass wrong and his little jinky runs were excellent give the guy 9/10 2day ( didnt score so no 10).
defense
Id give boum and bramble the thumbs up 2day they have raised their game as well as the others but need to see how they do against better opposition.
But at one point i saw boum go and win a header then followed up his header with another, which showed good determination. i wanna see more of this, shame for bramble And i felt BABA had a good game, yes a good game!, he even started copying n'zogbia and doing step over's etc.
Parker
Legend one of his best game's for the toon. nothin else to say
Ameobi
Definatly caused so many problems for defenders and was crucial in build up for both goals. Is not a winger, he should always play upfront
N'zogbia
first half man of the match, played a blinder, was taking players on for fun. (yes he's a winger souness):)
Shearer
wat more is there to say that wont be sed. For peeps who criticise him, they should know he cnt carry the team like he used to no way,but when you have the team creat chances around him he is still one of the best at what he does.
He had more chances today than in the last 6 games or so put 2gther which tells ya something souness

Lookin forward to watching more games, even if we lose some is still gettin back to the old toon! howay the lads!

Trademark Goal Celebration :) "put your hands up in the air..."

I'd really wish Sven would acknowledge Parker as much as most of us do. His performances this season are nothing short of fantastic.

We never did well against Villa, they knocked us out of the FA Cup one year.

David O'Mincer wants to keep his trap shut. Jamroll.

looks better and better, just buy 2-3 good defenders (Stuart Taylor appart)

Now that Parker (Newcastle's player of the season so far if you ask me) Emre and Solando play all at the same time, the midfield is looking very good.

btw the Emre-Turkey ban is good for you... he won't f*ck off to play for them during the next games + less chances of getting injuried.

Hitzfeld is arguably the best manager in the World currently out of a job. Both him and O'Neill have the thumbs up from me.

All the signs point to LeGuen being the man at Ibrox. That would mean that the Toon have, in my opinion, the pick of the litter. I think what Hitzfield and O'Neill have both achieved is more impressive than what LeGuen has managed.

Then again, there is word that O'Neill has claimed he could never manage newcastle because of his lifelong allegiance to Sunderland. But even if that is true, you still have great choices left, all of them visibly better than Souness

O'Neill did very well with leicester, even against top teams, but more importantly he brought home silverware. If any one of them is overrated, in my opinion, its LeGuen. As Gerrard Houllier is now proving, Lyon is a machine domestically.

That said, LeGuen isnt overrated

Ello people...

Being a toon fan, I thought it'd be appropriate for my first post to be in the Newcastle United thread.

Reading the last couple of posts clearly the topic of discussion is the vacent managers position. Souness had to go to be fair - his tactics were a shambles despite him not having a full set of players to chose from. His mentality was to have a pitch full of passionate players who wanted to play for the badge regardless of talent in some cases. All well and good, because I want all my players to want to play for NUFC, but sometimes you have to let flair players do their thing and cover their flaws with hard graft, purely because they can change a game in an instant.

Anyway - Souness has gone, Hitzfeld would be my personal preference. I think he's a very calm, clever manager, who demands discipline and success - much like Mourinho, Wenger, Benitez. Whether he'd come is a totally different story, and the odds are we'll get Martin O'Neil - which wouldn't be a bad thing...I just don't think it's the best option.

www.hitzfeldforthetoon.com is the site...dunno if I'm allowed to do that but never mind - I'm assuming most people here and Newcastle fans anyway and therefore may well be aware of that site anyway.

Freddy Shepherd supposidly came out and blasted the rumours about Hitzfeld and the massive campaigning for him as part of a money making scheme by a group of supporters who had placed large bets on him becoming the next manager.

Quite controversial and insulting to have a dig at the people who created the site and are leading the way with the support for Ottmar Hitzfeld given the sheer amount of effort and time they have put into their campaign.

At the end of the day, my personal opinion on that matter would be "so what?". So what if they placed a bet, and then went on to rally for Hitzfeld so potently? At the end of the day, they are highlighting the best man around who is currently available, and who has stated that he is flattered by the interest from the Newcastle United fans. FS stated that he would listen to his supporters - and if rallying for Hitzfeld in this manner is not a sign of who the supports want then something's very wrong in our chairman's head.
