New XBox 360 screens

heh what's with all the photoshop talk? I've played FIFA 06 on the X360 and it DOES look exactly like the screenshots. it does look kind of plastic but that comes to show in the screenshots as well.

and how can you say PS2's PES graphics are better? the new engine is clearly better: more polygons used in every player, higher-res textures, per-pixel lighting and normalmapping. the pitch textures seem a lot better too

One thing I was thinking about with the 360 version was custom option files. I don't think there is anyway to get those onto a 360 HD as of yet.

I'd love to see just half of those skills in PES - imo that's what makes it a real expirience. Ronaldo does that move^ in every game in real life, and it would be much more realistic if they made some of those skills in PES6. Also Robinhos skill looked so much like Robinho.

I've tried the FIFA demo though, and it doesn't do the trick for me.

Wouldn't mind FIFA's many skills though

Ive played the demo but I won't be buying the game ... but the skill moves I tired worked with Ronaldino , right analog stick clockwise = Zidane spin and anti-clockwise = a sort of all in one dragback heel flick over shoulder ..

As for the 1st trick in the video , in a real game the ref would give a freekick , holding the ball between both ankles and jumping.

Og perhaps I didn't make my self clear: By "Didn't do the trick for me" I didn't mean I couldn't get the tricks working I just meant that the demo itself didn't impress me - didn't get my blood steaming.
Even though it had some cool feints/skills/tricks which I'd love to see in PES such as C. Ronaldo and Robinho's move.

It's actually funny - after playing one half in FIFA 07 demo and then going back to PES - you can really see the difference in gameplay and graphic - I'd prefer PES graphic anytime - it's more detailed and clear when playing. Not to mention the small sized FIFA pitch.

I totally agree, Rhiger. I've also tested the FIFA 07 demo and wasn't impressed at all. Ok, improved movement of players, nice tricks but that's it (maybe improved ball physics too but I didn't recognized it that much).

The graphics are still quite modest. Awful faces (of course I do care) and the shape of the player's body is far from realistic. I appreciate PES graphics more and more after having played FIFA and would stick to it anytime. And with all this great editing stuff (kits, boots, pitches, stadiums) I never felt that I'm finally done with improving my game further and further.

Due to this I think I was never too curious about PES 6 but now I'm starting to have a stronger interest the closer the release date is. ;)

Well, i think that there´s 2 mistakes, one from Konami and another from EA.

The big mistake from Konami was to introduce the new PES6 with these Adriano intro/render screenshots, making people to think, pfff man...this is awesome...ingame screenshots. And finally we saw the real ingame graphics from this game. Is clear that are much much much better than in PS2 but not like they "sell" us at the beggining. So, is normal that we see now a "port" as some people wrotte here, but not really next-gen graphics. Then, arrives the dissapointment due that mistake. But, maybe when we will try the demo, the gameplay will make forgot that the graphics are not so good as we hoped at the beggining. We should to wait for the demo.

And the big mistake from EA, as always, is the same mistake like every year, photoshop i love you. We have not in hands the 360 demo, but we have the pc demo, and, obviously again is not like they sell us again. Gameplay is really improved but not like PES, and the graphics....well....better not comment them, overall if you have an ati card, with this frame-rate problems. About the 360 version, well, the screenshots look nice, but it looks too nice, and im afraid that finally it will not looks so great. Anyway we have to wait for the demo too, aswell for pes. The only thing that EA has more in his favour is the fact that is not his first game for 360, for Konami yes, is their first game for this console, but they know more about gameplay.

So, finally, if FIFA 07 will have this ingame graphics and the gameplay is good but not like is pes... it will worth to buy, and with PES 6, if the gameplay is so good, we will forgot that the graphics are not so awesome like we thought, it will worth to buy too. Both options are valid if from this point if both complish their promises.

Graphics are really important, but if you dont feel that the gameplay is good, nevermind about how real the graphics are, is like a movie plenty of CGI effects..it looks great, but, if this script is bad...then?? Let´s wait for the 360 demos, and the pes6 pc demo, and compare and let´s see if this people from Konami and EA deserves the money that they earn....or not...

Take care

Actually the amazing Adriano facial details are the same as the X360 movies and screens. The Inter Milan Kit textures are what I found very deceptive in comparison to the early renders you mentioned. The colours, shades, and folds of the jersey and all. This, they didn't produce in the final X360 version.

But about the Adriano facial details, if you compare the first pic with the new ones, well, is not exactly, i mean....there´s no sweat in this last videos that we can wacth, neither the texture is exactly the same. The first pic that we saw is more like an NBA live or NBA 2k7 face detail.....i guess that the reason is that is not the same 10 players than 22, but well...may be they can arrange it a bit more.

About the kit textures im totally agree, it seems with less polygons and with less resolution than in the first pics, with an strange blur over the textures, are not so defined.

If finally they cannot arrange all of this in the final version, i think that PES7 will looks like the very first Adriano images that we saw.

Yes, you're right. I forgot about the amazing Adriano screen with the sweat...

My expectations are so high for PES7, too... unlike any other version. If they screw this one up... I'll...I'll.... look forward to pes8.... as usual. But I have a strong feeling that this time, they won't.

Agree...may be for to be the first attemp on 360....may be for to make the game quickly, i dont know the real reason, but is clear that PES7 or PES8 will be much better, almost in graphics terms.

Take care
