hey UTI... had an inkling who you were all along, i checked, and i was proven right ;) nice to see your team is doing so well.

unfortunately, my team is not doing so well, despite 7-0 and 4-1 victories using the meatwall tactic. so any help on this tactic would be appreciated...

Defence

The defence in my eyes is fine. Although I would re-position the midfield as you're using the 3 man defence.

Midfield

As aforementioned, I would modify the diamond, for a 'magic square'.

Code:
----------------------------
  44 _______ 8
    / \
___/________\_______
   \ /
 7 \______/ 6
-----------------------------

The #7 and #6 should be placed inbetween the holes created between #5 and #4, and #4 and #3.

You will end up with this:
Code:
     X X
--------------

Three defenders, two midfielders. Similar to the way the common 5-3-2, but farther up the park.

Attack
#44, #8 from your midfield would like up well with #11. No doubt about it, chances will be created, however it's creating the space for #2 and #41 which is the problem. Push #41 up as far as he can go. This way, if your opponent plays the offside trap, he can pass to #2 as he is dropped back, if not, then a defender may stay with #41 while the other defenders push up:

Strategy

Mentality: 3-4-3. Normal or attack.
Style: Short passing.
Aggression: Normal / Aggressive.

Going back to your attack.

Key:
11* = Your player in posession
2 & 41 = your players
o = opposition

Code:
       11*
  o 2o o
   _____41o___
  | __'__ |
__|__|_____|__|___

Your #4 will create an uneven defence, alowing your #2 to get behind the defender as the defender marking #4 would be playing him onside.

This is a possible scenario:

Yes, perhaps drop the #11 slightly back to make room for #41 to move slightly right.

Yes I also noticed who you are Up...where are my damn zone articles! Lol ;) Read your mail for once.

I have just logged in, and checked my E-mail. I was surprised to see that I had around twelve E-mails, four of which were from you. I was starting to get agitated that you were not contacting me, and I was not receiving offers from the coaches.

Why have I received so many e-mails without my E-mail icon illuminating?

Defence

Move #4 up to the edge of your penalty box in line with the other defenders.

Midfield
Move #2, #15, and #8 onto the half-way line.

Attack
You can keep it how it is, however you may want to move #9 and #14 up, and pull #10 back (Shown below).

Strategy

Mentality: Attack
Style: Short passing
Aggression: Aggressive

Code:
    x x
       x
--------------
--------------
       x

it's become somewhat of a cliché, but, it depends on your players. if they aren't good enough to play on the wing, use what UTI has. if they have decent speed, stamina, ball ctrl, etc. you can "use wings" and place the two wider forwards out wide.

there isn't really a best overall strategy, but there's a best strategy for your team. you just need to work out which of the two it is. ;)

Damn!! Im so sick and tired of having a team full of better players and playing a crapper team dominating the match, winning scoring chances and possession but still managing to lose. It pisses me off and it happened to me again today using my 5-3-2.

Im going to use the 4-3-3 today with Long Balls and hopefully it goes well otherwise im pretty much stuffed.

Ahh, the M-M. Similar to the W-W, and W-M.

The tactic gets it's name from the formation. Connect a line Wrom: NYCGPKYLEJ
#5 to #11.
#11 to #15.
#15 to #10.

Do the same abiove:
#4 to #3.
#3 to #2.
#2 to #8.
#8 to #7.

You have two letter 'M''s. Moving on swiftly...

Defence
If you're playing a high defence, you will need a midfield(er) to support the defence. The hole between the defence and midfield is too wide. Either move the two midfielders to sit infront of the defence, or move the defence up even further.

Midfield
The attacking side of the midfield is perfect. Perhaps slightly move the #2 forward a little bit more so he is borderline midfield / attack.

Attack:
I guess #3 and #8 are sitting deep because:
A) High defence
B) You play offensively.

Nothing is needed to be edited here seeing as your midfield will support the attacks.

Strategy
Mentality: It's again a 5/5 formation. I would say take the chances, and attack.
Style: Short passing - With your team so tight together, it would be effective.
Aggression: Aggressive. You're playing a tight formation here. Don't give them any space.

D-12

Red Card - Forever.

well today I beat Liam's team 5-3 away, SC 12-10 for me, and he uses the 4-3-3... but then again my 5-3-2 tactic's usually been able to stop it so I dont know if the new sim has kicked in yet
