It turns out I'm going to miss Game 1 on Sunday, I just realized I've got Baccalaureate that very same evening. I'll try to see if I can sneak in a radio or something to listen to it, probably won't be able to though. (:/) Dammit. :kader:

Damn, all through this series I've been cheering for the teams that get knocked out.

First the Rockets, then T'Wolves and now I'm going to cheer for the Lakers.

(In other words, that means I'll get it wrong again and the Piston's will win :p)

The Finals finally start tonight, 8:30 pm EST on abc, should be fun, I'm wondering if Detroit will actually score now that they are playing against a team that doesn't play defense as well or as tough as Indiana did, I give em 85 for tonight's game meaning that they'll probably lose it.

Damn, I just got back from school and Detroit are playing just as expected (at least for me anyway). The rest of the guys need step up because its been Shaq and Kobe all on their own out there. So much for an easy series. (:/)

FT 87-75 Pistons :kader:

DE-troit DE-troit (H) :rockman: :rockman:

Awesome D Shaq and Kobe were the only ones that could do something about it but the thing is the Lakers don't have 15 Shaqs and Kobes on their roster (H). This is not enough though, imo if Detroit wins game 2 then we got a series because as the Lakers proved against Philly a few years back losing game 1 on their homecourt doesn't mean much.

You may won this one... but don't spect to win the series. Count on the lakers to crush the pistons in game 2.

pistons played it really smart. larry brown is god. they focused on D, in transition, and played really tight and smart D. they kept malone from his trademark midrange jumper from being effective, even though he was on the glass a bit (11 boards) he was not a factor. same goes for payton. they were able to get him in foul trouble and render him uselsess. the bench did not show up, credit the D and some shooting woes. that leaves Shaq, who pretty much dominated the game (34 and 11, altough he did have 6 TOs) but its shaq... Kobe also had a good game all around, pointwise, steals and blocks. however, he shot 10-27, and sometimes taking all the shots doesn't help, if you are the best player on your team.

all in all, smart D forced the lakers to go more to shaq and kobe, and they obviously couldn't do it themselves when their teammates couldn't hit the side of a barn. bye bye home court, but this is the lakers, nothing is to be taken lightly.

Exactly but its going to be pretty damn tough with how well Detroit plays defensively. Like I said before, the rest of the team has to step up if we're going to win this thing, Kobe and Shaq will do their thing no matter what but everyone else has to pick it up. I hope this turns out to be just like the Philly series, lose Game 1 and take the rest, I doubt it though.

``Four points is terrible,'' Malone said. ``My little boy can do that.''

heh....I still believe Lakers will win in 6 but it all depends on how Kobe being selfish or not and Malone, Payton doing something...
