Wow, I hate the Lakers, but that was incredible. And you know what, after Duncan hit that shot and you look at the Lakers, I've had that feeling in pickup games. You know, where you defend perfectly and the guy takes a HORRIBLE shot, but just somehow makes it. That's a horrible feeling, so I can sort of relate to the Lakeshow if they had lost.

Sucks that the Lakers won, but now the Spurs are protesting that the shot didn't beat the buzzer. I hate the Lakers, but that went in before the buzzer, period. :rolleyes:

Yeah, that definitely beat the buzzer. And even if the clock was at 0.0, they play the light, not the clock. Remember the Texas game where the guy beat the light, but not the buzzer, but they counted the shot.

I can't f*cking believe that Duncan made that shot, he shot over Shaq and some other Lakers guy but unfortunately for him and the Spurs Fisher pulled off an even crazier shot and the Lakers won. After Fisher scored I was stuck like this for like 3 minutes straight looking blankly at the screen :o

Game 6 should be one hell of a game and now I sorta think that the Lakers can take out the Spurs especially since their next game is at home....

The playoffs have kicked ass this year :rockman:

the spurs arent contesting whether he got the shot off in time, they are contesting that the play clock didnt start as soon as fisher got the ball. with .04 seconds left you have time to grab and shoot all in one motion, but fisher got time to run to the ball, turn in midair and then shoot. spurs are saying that he got extra time because the play clock didnt start as soon as he got the ball.

allright just saw the video. the clock did start late, on fisher's possesion, but when duncan hit his jumper, the ball dropped in with .8 seconds left... but the lakers only got half that time to score their point. the leauge is not going to overturn the decision.



edit - it would help if i put the video... real good shot of fishers possesion. the clock does appear to start late, but it could have been 0.499 seconds which would explain why he had extra time to shoot it, but not that the clock started late.

If you knew how much the Lakers have struggled to get to this six game, you wouldn't be saying that. What? lakers real madrid? Have you looked at the other west teams.

Anyway, i kind of feel sorry for you, and say goodbye to the title this year, because that one has got a number 4 on it.

Game 6 tomorrow is going to be huge. I'm hoping San Antonio are still down after DFish's shot so that it'll make things just a little bit easier for us. You never know though. I want this thing wrapped up tomorrow because Kobe needs some damn rest after this passed week, he was out of gas at the end of the game last night and looked like he was about to pass out.

The Lakers are full of stars I dislike - Kobe, Shaq, Malone and Payton. That's the reason for the real comparison.

Anyway, Detroits is up by 1 in the 4th quarter. 5:33 to go.
Game 5 of the Minnesota vs. Sacramento series is going to start in a few minutes.

I've been drinking some coffee and coke all night long to get to see it live at 3.30am here...
