i firmly believe that marion and q were the reason the suns didn't put up much of a fight. however, nash might be the worst pg i've ever seen defensively, and amare looks lost when he has to dribble more then two steps. that being said, them two are the whole reason this series went to 5 games. i understand that bowen is a good defender, but how the hell did marion dissapear so much so quickly? he was a monster before they met up the spurs. san antonio is one of the best defensive teams, but marion gave them close to nothing. and q isn't even worth talking about. unless he's hitting 3s, i don't think he knows what sport he's playing... oh well. here's hoping miami takes the series and we see some offense in the finals.

Very happy for the Spurs Win and Ginobili of course....but the Suns were a great team as well, I really had fun watching this last series..

As long as Miami don't make it to the Finals I'll be happy. It doesn't matter to me if the Pistons and Spurs make it there, its not like I'm going to watch anyway.

Don't disrespect Marion and Q just based on this series. If anything you should think even MORE highly of Bowen and Duncan. Just remember, these guys were guarded by two of the best defensive players in the league, maybe both of them top 10 and Bowen definitely top 5. Q's a good player, but Bowen's going to guard him out of the game every time. And if Marion isn't hitting the 3's there's nothing he can do against Duncan. It's not the the Suns, or a few of their players are bad, it's just that the Spurs are so damn good.

EDIT: Oh, and also don't forget that Q is asked to be 1 dimentional by the Suns' system. He was always a good slasher and rebounder (in fact he's been called one of the best offensive rebounding guards in the league), but the Suns don't want him to do it, so if Bowen can shut down his one dimension, which he inevitably will because he's Bruce Bowen, he is completely shut down by the system.

the spurs are just too balanced... they can play any style... running game.. half court game... u name it they play it...

marion and Q got shut down completely... it was 40% due to TD and Bowen and 60% themselves... come on, they were invisible....especially Q, was he even playing last night? :kader:
spurs are too good...

Good performance by the Spurs wrapping up the job last night. Shame the Suns had to go out because a Miami vs. Phoenix Final would have been thrilling, but it wasn't to be. Anywayz what I'm wondering now is what will Phoenix do to get better? They need a big man so that Q can come off the bench and perhaps some more fire power for the their second unit. But let's be honest here. Why big man could the Suns possibly sign with their running style of basketball? Not a single name rings a bell.

On Miami, I'm happy they beat Detriot. I want them to win it in 6 and knock Detriot the f*ck out. Man do I hate them. :D

phoenix needs a swing man who can play D. except for shawn marion, nobody is athletic enough to cover for other guys. stoudamire is a monster, but that guy does not know what defense is, he relies only on his athletic ability to block shots and clog the lane. q is garbare, it was proved in this playoff series that all you have to do is put a hand in his face and he is done. he can't do anything but shoot 3s, and when that's not falling, hes done. i would put jimmy Carlos*son in his spot, bring in a sg/sf who can handle the ball and play D, so that marion and Carlos*son could get rest in the game. i mean, lets be honest, the suns are a 6 man team. its the starting 5 plus jimmy Carlos*son, and then hunter goes into the game whenever stoudamire is in foul trouble. and i just want to say that hunter is a joke. jake voskul would have been better then him.

Sam Dalembert. And what do you know, he's a free agent this offseason.

Yeah, were we the only guys to pick Detroit and San Antonio at the beginning of the playoffs?

Alright, I gotta stay true to the initial pick because it was just so damn good.

San Antonio Spurs in 6 games. From the beginning I thought there was only 1 team that could win it and this is it. I don't even think the Finals will be particularly close, the Spurs should run away with this thing.

Well since everybody's doing it:

F*ck Shack, the basketball player NOT him. Likable personality. :)
F*ck Kobe, the basketball player AND HIM. Always hated him for trying the next Jordan...Wade is. :ewan:
F*the Lakers. (H)

...oh yeah, the Finals. I'd go with San Anton' in 7, BUT if my boy Rasheed steps up...I wouldn't be surprised if the Pistons go back-to-back.

What do you guys think about naming the San Antonio Spurs a "DYNASTY"? ESPN has been discussing it and they pulled out a stat that makes them just that:

- The San Antonio Spurs have the most wins in the past 8 years than ANYBODY and if they take this one, it makes them 3-time champions. Yeah, I was surprised too. Anyways I'd like to see S.A. take it, 'cause my Argent. boy Ginobilli deserves it + his gold medal. WOW!

LOL... this image is pretty popular on the NETS and Raptors message boards.. I love Zo, he's my fave center of all time.. but we all know what happened in TO and NJ...

Miami should've went for the Dorrel Wright - Donyell Marshall trade at the deadline.. he could've given them a better chance to win in the now...he's like a sheed-type player without the meanstreak.... I hope the Heat management made the correct choice by keeping Wright.. maybe one day he'll help them over the hump...
Wade is going to improve but Shaq really looked worned out (yeah yeah his thigh muscle were giving him problems.. I wish him to be in better condition next year)

anyway.. for the finals... I think the spurs are just too balanced offensively and defensively... and their bench is better...
