You shouldn't listen to them. They've got too many songs in Russian :D I doubt that would suit you (H)

I guess 2 songs are 2 songs too many then :D All i know are "Veter" and Ty Ne Odin" from their Four Shores album. In any case they couldn't play in Tallinn because of you guys (6)

EDIT: What gives with the USSA flag? :D

Speaking of that match the people at York International suggested the overseas students should actually go :(

You should!

We have a lot of fun, even if the team hasn't scored in 8 weeks :(

Damn. :(

In Toronto This Weekend

Toronto FC V.S. Columbus Crew
Sat Sep 22, 2007 3:30 PM @ BMO Field
Price $15 - $60
Experience the excitement of Toronto's newest sports team.
Toronto now hosts the 13th Major League Soccer team, the first outside of the US. The club has some bright stars on the roster including Canadian Jim Brennan, who last season played in the English Premier League for Southampton. Toronto's first professional soccer team will sport red and white, reflecting a strong Canadian identity. They will also play an instrumental role in further developing the sport within North America. Purchase tickets to see the team play against the Columbus Crew and rising star midfielder Eddie Gaven, who at the age of 16 became the youngest player in MLS history ever to score a goal.

Are they really that bad; I don't wanna go to my first ever football match if they're gonna lose :(

They are actually pretty good, they just can't finish...

Last game we had about 8 scoring chances, but couldn't kill them off. I suspect this game will be better since our striker Jeff Cunningham is back from injury.

You should come down, if only to see how we do football in Toronto (H)

We have a tailgate in the parking lot, and I would gladly receive you there and offer you a beer or two!

Hi guys,

I got my first assignment back yesterday - A (80%) Even more of a surprise when I thought I was going to completely flunk it :D! It's really rare to see HD's in Australia, unless you really put the work in. So yeh, with today being German Unification Day I think i might celebrate a bit (H)

Of course you got an 80, you go to York silly. No offense, but it's a bit of a pushover university that people make fun of. I go to University of Toronto at Mississauga (the only real university in Toronto and I'm not trying to be cocky or anything).

You should've gone on an exchange to University of Toronto at the Mississauga campus. The downtown campus is good too but the Mississauga campus is in a suburb and you don't have to worry about such a big campus, it's a bit smaller (only 11,000) students.

York is ridiculously easy. I applied to York last year in case I couldn't get into Toronto. Anyways, York accepted me based into their Biomedical science program based on my December marks which weren't even that good and they gave me a $4000 entrance to their scholarship. I ended up with an 87% average and I went to UofT, they don't give scholarships like $4000 unless you get exceptional marks because they don't need to give out ridiculous amounts of money which they don't have just to attract students. Asides from that, enjoy your exchange, and try going to one of Toronto's suburbs, I'd suggest Mississauga or Markham, the two nicer suburbs, but whatever you do, DO NOT GO NEAR SCARBOROUGH.

Don't listen to him dude!!

The suburbs are where all the Satanists live!

Plus Treble, what's he going to see out there, besides identical houses?

dude, you're making UofT @ Mississauga seem like an Ivy league school or something. I saw 3 of my highschool friends the other day because they're on our ****ty ass football team. all 3 of them are douchebags, I was like how the **** did they get into U of T? then boom, I find out they're actually at UTM. just because the name says U of T, doesn't mean it's hard. I categorize UTM as the same **** as York, except with less hot chicks and more Asian guys.

there's really nothing wrong with York, it just has a reputation of being really easy to get into and really easy to do well once you get in. I got accepted into kinesiology at York but I always wanted to go to U of T and I did. a girl I know went to York for kin and she msged me a few weeks back saying it was way too easy for her and she wanted to transfer into U of T... so the reputation has SOME credibility I'm guessing :p

If you want a tip when you're in Toronto city centre don't go to Eggspectation on Yonge St.

I learned the hard way what a waste of money it is. Plus, there's sh*tloads of Thais who do $3.99 breakfasts (H)

Actually at UTM, they have the same curriculum pretty much as UTSt George and a lot of the profs and TAs rotate too so the content and stuff is the same, only difference is that UTM is smaller and St George is more competitive because of how many students they have.

Anyways, that's not the point:

How do you get a york grad off your porch?
You pay for the pizza.

What do you get when you drive quickly through York's campus?
-An undergraduate degree

What does a York Grad call a U of T grad after graduation?
-Boss

Why do York grads put their diploma on their dashboards?
-So they can park in handicapped spaces

What does a York student do when he sees his friend from UofT at the same job interview?
-Leave

What's the first thing a York girl does when she wakes up in the morning?
-Walks home.

If you can walk and talk, go to York, if you can walk a bit faster, go to McMaster

If you can use a knife and fork, you can go to York!

You know you go to Ryerson or York when...

1. The first thing in the -Skills- section of your resumé is: Excellent Make up application skills

2. You have to create NUMEROUS facebook groups trying to make yourself feel better because your school is either a) located the U of T downtown campus property or b) located at the corner of Jane & Finch...enough said

3. Your business school does not want the outside world to know they are located on your campus ( Person A:The Schulich School of Business, that's at York right? Schulich Student: No, its JUST the Schulich School of Business)

4. Your the first thing recrutors say to prospective students: "Our library isnt that big, but we have a really nice mall..."

5. Your escalator broke, and you STILL can't figure out how to fix it...

6. The University of Toronto has THREE (3) campuses, the reason York and Ryerson only have one each: They can't count any higher.

7. You were once a college

8. The reason why you have really good pub nights is to help you forget that you university sucks.

9. You know if you go to an interview and you see your friend who graduated from the University of Toronto, you should just leave.

10. You aunt from Japan calls asking you what school you go to. You tell her Ryerson and she hangs up. She later tells you to transfer to the University of Toronto, a school that people in places other than Toronto actually know about.

11. The reason why there are so many trees on all of the U of T campuses and none on Yorks' is because Yorkers haven't learnt that a tree is NOT a protable bathroom yet.

12. The picture at your home page is a bottle of pills...

Of course it is. All of the UW-La Crosse, UW-Eau Claire, UW-Milwaukee, and UW-Green Bay kids say the same thing. It's not the same ******* thing. The flagship campus gets the funding and the flagship campus attracts the best professors. The flagship campus has world class graduate facilities, the satellites do not. The truth is that 95% of kids at the other UW school would give their left nut to go to Madison, and I'm sure the Missusagaga kids are the same way with the main UT campus. Very rarely you will get someone who turned down the main school for a satellite (my ex-girlfriend did, and realized she made a mistake after one year and transferred to Madison).

I'm sure you think Harvard Extension School is the same as Harvard College too.

Er...actually, I used to live in Windsor, Ontario and my parents were moving to Mississauga anyways. I applied to all three UofToronto campus', I got into the St George one at downtown too for the same program (life science) but I'm going to UTM because if I went to St George then it'd take me 2 hours to get there with traffic or I'd have to pay to live on residence, at UTM, I can take a bus because they give us unlimited bus service as part of our fees and I get to school in half an hour. The downtown campus is kinda too big but if I did live in downtown Toronto, I'd sure as hell go there, not York.

my reason was money issues. I was close to going to Waterloo to do co-op, but the $20k/year for res put me off
