Hey Guys...

I'm near the end of my first season with Ternana (Italian Serie B)...I'm currently in 1st place with Arezzo and Empoli close on my heels - they are only three points behind me...I've made many transfers for the team - I got rid of the weak players and brought in two better players...

I'm now only three matches away from the Coppa Nazionale final against Serie A team Firenze...I'm pretty confident of promotion but I'm not so sure about the Cup...I'm playing in PRO difficulty and I am finding it very tiresome to win my matches...

I'll probably stay with Ternana for at least another season unless a really good offer comes up during the off-season...I can't wait for the next season because I want to see what it's like playing against the best teams in Italy...

THANKS Zhariken...I'm really enjoying your CareerUpdates (I'm quite impatient for more)...:D

Hey Guys...

I just finished in 1st place for my first season...And I won narrowly won the Coppa Nazionale with a final aggregate of 3-2...

For my 2nd season...Most of the offers I got were pretty much the same as last season with a few tempters...such as Parma and Lecce from Serie A...However...I decided to stay with Ternana for another season...

My first fixture is the Supercoppa against Juventus (Oh no!!)...

October 23, 2005 (6-0-2, 2nd place)

After a rather disappointing loss to Perugia last week, things don’t look much better for Torino in the near future. Today, they’re scheduled to match up against Juventus (7-1-0), and they head off to visit Parma for their first Coppa Nazionale match just two days later. A rough stretch this’ll undoubtedly be, Torino must keep their heads up and see if they can turn things around before losing becomes a trend for the squad.

Juventus has a diverse cast, but there is no doubt that keeper Gianluigi Buffon is the star of the team. Buffon, widely considered one of the best keepers in world football today, has 5 clean sheets through 8 Serie A matches. Striker David Trezeguet leads the team with 3 goals, but the scoring is distributed well among everyone. In all, nine different players have scored at least 1 goal (14 goals for 9 players) for Juventus through 8 matches. Youngster Zlatan Ibrahimovic already has himself a mark in the goal column, as do mainstays Gianluca Zambrotta (2) and Alessandro Del Piero (2). Juventus owns the second-best goal differential among Serie A teams, scoring 14 goals and allowing 3 (+11). Torino is the only club with a better margin, scoring 24 and allowing 9 (+15).

Torino certainly felt a letdown with their loss to Perugia, after dominating in their match against AC Milan. For quite some time, Serie A has been known for a defensive mindset, and it seems Torino has come in trying to turn that notion on its side. So far, Torino has nearly outscored the closed competitor by a 2-to-1 margin (24GF for Torino, 14GF for both Inter and Juventus), but they’ve given up quite a bit more than teams located around them in the table. With two games coming so close together, we may see more of a laid-back approach from Torino, in an effort to stay fit for both matches. However, it was hardly a defensive mentality that brought Torino victory versus AC Milan. Expect Emile Heskey to once again play the crucial role in getting his squad on the board.

On we go to the match……

In a scene eerily similar to Torino’s match against AC Milan, the night sky brings rain down upon the pitch as both teams enter. Juventus opened on the offensive, sending several crosses into the box within the first 10 minutes of play. Torino struggled to get into a rhythm on offense, and failed to even break into Juventus’ side of the field until the 8th minute. Trezeguet sent a header just wide in the 10th minute, and Torino saw their first scoring chance get shut down in the 14th minute. Heskey dribbled into the box off a long throw-in, managing a point-blank shot into the arms of Buffon. Juve’ made a run in the 16th minute, leading to a corner opportunity for the home squad. While the initial drive into the box was cleared out, Juventus quickly re-gained possession and passed it in to Trezuguet for the finish in the top corner, making it 1-0 in the 17th minute. It initially appeared that Nedved had passed the ball in to an off-side Trezuguet, but upon later review, the referees called it right, as a Torino defender actually pushed it toward Trezuguet in error. The home crowd was still abuzz with excite from the first goal when Juventus gave them more reason to cheer in the 22nd minute. Del Piero made a fool of Torino defender Luca Mezzano with his first-touch magic, the ball found the back of the net a short time after. Whether it Juventus becoming complacent with their 2-0 lead, or simply a desperate gasp from Torino to get on the board, a scoring chance came in the 29th minute for the visitors. After a throw-in nearly identical to the one that generated the first scoring chance, Heskey again brought the ball down the line toward Buffon. However, instead of sending it into the arms of the keeper, Heskey directed the ball toward Omolade for the finish to make it 2-1! After Torino made it 2-1, neither team registered a shot on goal for the remainder of the first half. It was clear that the visitors received a talking-to about their defense while in the locker room. Torino came out playing a much better defensive game, particularly in the mid-field, preventing a relentless attack from Juventus as the second half began. Heskey sent one over the crossbar in the 57th minute, very nearly tying it up 2-2. With rumors swirling of his impending sale when the transfer window opens, Maniero continues to contribute to the team. After a nice midfield interception by Pinga, Maniero sent a cross into the box that met the head of Emile Heskey to make it 2-2. Replays showed Heskey pushing off a Juventus defender just before he jumped up for the header, inciting boos from the home crowd. Neither team did much in terms of offense for the rest of the game, with the exception of a superb scoring chance by Heskey in the 89th minute. After avoiding two defenders, Emile was able to break in on goal for a one-on-one matchup with Buffon. Heskey’s shot sent Buffon diving to the ground, and he made the save to salvage a point.

In all, Torino came away with a well-deserved point while visiting the top team in Serie A. Considering where Torino was last season, that’s quite an accomplishment, to say the least. Now, Torino must avoid a letdown as they go into the first leg of Coppa Nazionale against Parma in two days.

Torino improves to 6-1-2 (T-2nd, along with Parma, Inter, and Siena), while Juventus drops to 7-2-0 (1st).

* Del Piero Embarasses the Defense
* Omolade Scores in the 29th
* Heskey Ties it up 2-2 in the 57th

I have started a career with Catania, playing the pro skill level, and am having problems......

I got rid of a few players at the beginning of the season, but got the same level players in return (a few teams offered players, but I didnt get to see their skill levels, so I took a chance and picked them up)

I am 2-5-2, so I'm not getting many upgrades, and I cant score for crap !!

Ferrante is my leading scorer with 3 goals. I have 5 goals for and 5 against

My fitness levels are also poor, most of my prestige points, which are few, have gone to fitness

At this rate, I wont have many accumulated points in January to pick anyone up

Help !!!!!
