That's about as unbiased as I get.

My MLS Best XI for the 2007 season:

GK - Guzan

D - Parkhurst
D - Robinson
D - Suarez

M - Joseph
M - Kljestan
M - Donovan
M - Schelotto
M - Gomez

F - Angel
F - Emilio

Tough choice between Olsen and Kljestan. Only reason Blanco's not in there is that he's played less than a half season's worth of games (14).

Goalkeeper of the Year: Onstad
Defender of the Year: Parkhurst
Rookie of the Year: Edu
MVP: Angel
Coach of the Year: Preki

I can't wait for the first card to come in the mail asking me to renew my season ticket package, so I can have a good laugh as I throw it away. :(

Seriously what the hell is wrong with that franchise? Do they just not care?

Facing the Revs has never been an easy task for us. Should be a cracker. I hope we advance even though it will be difficult.

By the way, MLS broke three attendance records this season: highest median attendance, lowest % of games with attendance under 10,000 and highest % of games with attendance over 20,000. Here are some attendance stats stolen from BigSoccer:

Final MLS Average Attendance
1996 17,406
1997 14,619
1998 14,312
1999 14,282
2000 13,756
2001 14,962
2002 15,821
2003 14,898
2004 15,549
2005 15,108
2006 15,504
2007 16,770

Final MLS Median Attendance
1996 15,093
1997 12,733
1998 11,871
1999 12,973
2000 12,690
2001 13,431
2002 14,108
2003 13,641
2004 13,285
2005 12,619
2006 14,175
2007 15,353

% of games Under 10,000 after all games complete
1996 21.9%
1997 25.0%
1998 26.6%
1999 32.3%
2000 34.4%
2001 26.6%
2002 17.1%
2003 23.3%
2004 24.7%
2005 27.1%
2006 18.8%
2007 8.2%

% of games Over 20,000 after all games complete
1996 26.3%
1997 16.3%
1998 161%
1999 15.1%
2000 12.5%
2001 17.7%
2002 18.6%
2003 18.0%
2004 25.3%
2005 17.7%
2006 18.8%
2007 29.7%

The median attendance number is huge, since median attendance is an even better indicator of how the league is doing than average attendance.

interesting also to note how it's best year up until this year in terms of attendance was...1996? I guess people were intrigued by the new league but it didn't hold their attention.
Also note the spike in 2002, thanks to the World Cup and our success that year.

That's great (Y), let's hope it keeps going up.

Why did Emilio not start again? I couldn't stand watching, much less listening to Julie Foudy and that retard in the pre-game and the commentators made sure not to mention it once.

Fred and Emilio are the two reasons why DC has been so good this season, you keep one of them out it doesn't work the same.

Blanco was piss poor though.

We may only be up 1-0, but I think we have a pretty good chance of advancing. Even if Moreno and Emilio both start next week, I think it will be an evenly fought game, with the most likely result being a draw.

Haha the Quakes will play their home games here:

for the next two season, although now that I think about it that might be better than Spartan Stadium.
