I wonder if Kojima will still use the top-down camera view for this game. I like using this camera better than the 3rd person camera.

Se escucha voces en off. Voces de MGS2:
OTACON: Están muertos. Los doce.
SNAKE: ¿Y cuando ocurrió?
OTACON: Bien, ah... Hace cien años.
SNAKE: ¿Qué demonios?...
La última frase de Snake resuena con eco. A HIDEO KOJIMA GAME. Se escucha una música misteriosa, y vemos a un envejecido Solid Snake en el campo de batalla, el mismo lugar del trailer del TGS. Está fumando, sentado en el suelo, y solitario. Una jeringuilla de su "medicación" está tirada en el suelo. Está mirando en el suelo. Y armado con su M4. Snake le está hablando a alguien:
SNAKE: Estoy cansado... Realmente cansado de todo esto. Sé que voy a morir pronto... Se acerca el fin.
Se le aproxima con quién estaba hablando. Es Raiden, con su nuevo aspecto más maduro, y armado.
RAIDEN: Snake, dijiste que habías vuelto para luchar por un futuro mejor. Por no ser parte de un error.
Snake y Raiden se miran.
RAIDEN: Bien, pues luchemos por ese futuro mejor.
Raiden le ofrece la mano para animarle, y levantarle.
RAIDEN: ¿Qué vas a hacer? ¿Luchar, o morir?
Snake le da la mano a Raiden, y aparece el logo:
METAL GEAR SOLID 4: GUNS OF THE PATRIOTS
La pantalla se funde en negro, y a continuación vemos las calles de Marruecos totalmente destrozadas, y tropas y Metal Gears Gekko patrullando en tiempo real. Podemos ver como el Metal Gear MK-II de Otacon se esconde. Voces en Off.
OTACON: Snake, después de lo ocurrido en Nueva York hace cinco años, Metal Gear ya ha dejado de ser una máquina bélica secreta y ha sido ampliada en todas sus formas. Olvida todo lo que has visto. La amenaza ha crecido.
SNAKE: Los Patriots...
OTACON: Snake, esta vez no habrá lugar para esconderse.
Terminan las voces y pasamos a ver el juego in-game: Snake acecha a tres soldados que andan buscándole. Van en fila, y el último de ellos es asaltado por Snake, que lo agarra sigilosamente y, en las sombras, le corta el cuello. Una vez terminado, Snake, con su sistema Solid Eye, localiza a los otros dos. Cuando éstos se Shifty cuenta de que falta el tercero, se sorprenden (expresiones faciales increíbles), y Snake aparece por detrás, agarrando por el cuello al segundo, y apuntando al otro. El soldado, aterrado, intenta llamar a refuerzos, gritando (no por radio), pero Snake le dispara en la pierna, lo que provoca que caiga herido. Snake aplica CQC al soldado que tenía agarrado, y le deja K.O. Snake arrastra al soldado malherido hacia el mismo lugar en las sombras que el soldado degollado. En un momento de diversión, Snake coloca varias minas Claymore alrededor de él, creándole una trampa mortal si éste puede recuperarse la pierna. Solid Snake sonríe.
La pantalla se funde en negro, y aparece el logo de nuevo. La siguiente escena que vemos tiene lugar dentro de un lugar in-door. Cientos de soldados, y Ocelot girando su revolver y vestido con una gabardina marrón.
OCELOT: Vais a apretar el gatillo sin preguntar. Vais a disparar a todo lo que se mueva. Vais a eliminar a vuestros compañeros si es necesario. Vais a morir, y no vais a volver vivos a casa.
Ocelot se gira, y saca su Colt Single Action Army.
OCELOT: ¿Entendido...
En ese momento, y de sorpresa, Ocelot dispara una bala que rebota, y acierta en la cabeza de uno de los soldados, matándolo al instante. Nadie se inmuta, ni se sorprende.
OCELOT: ...Armas de Los Patriots?
Todos los soldados en la sala hacen el saludo militar a Ocelot.
Ocelot, con la cara ensangrentada, guarda su arma y hace el gesto con sus manos original de MGS3.
Se escucha una voz conocida en la sala.
VAMP: Iván el Terrible... ¡Ha pasado mucho tiempo!
Es Vamp, que está en la sala. Todos los soldados le disparan, pero éste esquiva los disparos de una manera rápida.
OCELOT: ¡Alto el fuego!
Los soldados dejan de disparar, y vemos a Vamp subido en el techo.
OCELOT: Pensaba que habías muerto en Big Shell, amigo.
VAMP: Ya estoy muerto. Y pronto, tú vas a estarlo también.
OCELOT: ¿Remordimientos de Fortune? Lo siento, sólo se me escapó el gatillo...
Vemos a un Vamp totalmente enfurecido, que desvela su mano-guante de cuchillas y se dispone a atacar, pero la secuencia se corta y vemos a Snake corriendo como puede para evitar ser detectado por un Metal Gear Gekko, hasta ser acorralado. Snake intenta defenderse, pero la máquina le puede. En ese momento, un disparo certero proveniente de algún sitio destruye la máquina, y salva a Snake. Éste se muestra confuso. De repente, una voz femenina se escucha por detrás.
PERSONAJE FEMENINO: ¡No te muevas!
Snake se queda quieto y levanta las manos.
SNAKE: No es la primera vez que una mercenaria me sorprende. Supongo que ya ha apuntado con un arma a una persona anteriormente. Parece confiada.
PERSONAJE FEMENINO: Cuidado, yo no soy ninguna novata.
Snake aprovecha la situación para aplicar CQC a la mercenaria misteriosa, pero ésta le supera, y le tumba. Ambos se miran.
SNAKE (Sorprendido): ...¡¿Meryl?!
MERYL (Apuntándole): Te he dicho que no soy ninguna novata.
Empieza a sonar el tema principal de MGS, versionado de nuevo para la ocasión.
La escena se corta, y aparece el texto: ¡METAL GEAR CAMINO DE PLAYSTATION 3!
Aparece una escena con Snake y un Ocelot transformado en Liquid en su Metal Gear Ray. Snake le apunta con su arma.
LIQUID: ¡Snake! ¡Aquí acabará todo! ¡Aquí acabará el legado! ¡Éste es el final de Les Enfants Terribles!
La escena se corta, y aparece el texto: ¡METAL GEAR CAMINO DE LA NUEVA GENERACIÓN!

We hear mytserious music, and we see an aged Solid Snake standing in a battlefield that looks the same as the TGS trailer. He's sitting on the ground, alone, and smoking a cigarette. He throws a syringe to the ground. Snake is speaking to someone;
Snake: I'm really tired of all this. I'm going to die soon anyway...
The camera zooms and we see who SNake was talking to. It's Raiden with his new appearance. He his more mature, and armed.
Raiden: Snake, you said that you're alive because you're going to fight for a better future, that you're not a mistake.
We see both Snake and Raiden.
Raiden: Well, we will fight for that future together.
Raiden offers his hand to help him up.
Raiden: What are you going to do, fight? Or die?
Snake grabs Raidens hand and the logo appears: Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.
The next shot shows the decimated streets of what appears to be Morocco being patrolled by Metal Gear Gekkous (real time graphics). We see Otacons Metal Gear MK-II hiding.
Otacon: Snake, after what happened in new york five years ago Metal Gear is no longer a secret machine of war. It's been spread in different forms all over the world. This changes everything we've seen before, the threat is much greater.
Snake: The Patriots...
Otacon: Snake, this time there will be no place to hide.
The voices finish and we see real time gameplay. Snake watches three soldiers who patrol looking for him. They're walking in a row. Snake assaults the the last guard in line and cuts his throat in the shadows. When he is finished wit hthe first guard, the Solid Eye identifies the other two soldiers. When they realize they're missing a soldier they're shocked and scared (incredible detail on the facial expressions), when Snake ppears behind them. Snake grabs the neck one oen guard and aims his gun at the other one. The terrified soldier tries to call out for reinforcements, but Snake shoots him in the leg, causing him to fall to the ground. Snake CQC's the soldier he had fought and knocks him out. He drags them all in the shadows by the soldier he had killed perviously. Snake places several Claymores around him, creating a deadly trap for the almost crippled soldier if he regains movement. Snake smiles and he screen truns black.
The following scene is inside of a building. We see hundreds of soldiers with Ocelot standing in front of all of them in his signiture brown raincoat.
Ocelot: You all must shoot without asking questions, kill anything that moves, even if it means killing your comrades. You are going to die, and you will never return home again.
Ocelot takes out his Single Action Army.
Ocelot: Understand?
Ocelot fires a round and it richochets of of the wall into the head of one of the soldiers, killing him instantly. Nobody is disturbed or surprised.
Ocelot: Guns of the Patriots!
They all salute Ocelot. Ocelot, still covered in blood, makes his signiture hand gesture from MGS3. We hear a well known voice
Vamp: It's been a long time crazy Ivan. All of the soldiers shoot at Vamp, but he leaps around the ceiling and is unharmed.
Ocelot: Cease-fire!
The soldiers stop shooting and we see vamp still in the rafters of t he ceiling.
Ocelot: I thought you died on the Big Shell, friend.
Vamp: I'm am already dead, and soon you shall join me!
Ocelot: Despair for fortune?
Vamp is furious, and throws a series of blades. We then cut to see Snake running to avoid detection from a Metal Gear Gekkou until he is cornered. Snake tries to defend himself, but the Metal Gear starts to attack him. Suddenly there is a burst of gunfire, and Snake is saved.
Feminine voice: Don't move!
Snake quietly raises his hands.
Snake: This is the the first time that a female soldier has caught me off guard. I think you've aimed a weapon at me before. I'm not scared.
Woman: Careful, I'm no rookie.
Snake attempts to CQC the woman but she defeats him and throws him to the ground.
We see both of them.
Snake: (surprised) Meryl!
Meryl: I told you I'm no rookie.
We see a scene with Sanke and Ocelot (controlled by Liquid) in Metal Gear Ray. Snake aims his weapon at him.
Liquid: Finally everything will be finished! Now his legacy will end! This will be the end of les enfant terrible.
The scene cuts, and we again see Snake injecting himself with a medication.
Naomi: Snake, FOXDIE is still within you. Soon it will become active.
The scene cuts to Snake on the codec and we hear some familiar voices.
Cambell: Snake, this is your battle. But someone you know is going to help you out again
Mei Ling: Can you remembery any more Chinese proverbs Snake?
Holly White: Snake, this is Holly! It's good to spy on the enemy for you again!
The music beings to climax and we see Snake rise. On the MK-II's screen we see Otacon, and then flashes of artwork showing all the characters.

Ocelot fires a round and it richochets of of the wall into the head of one of the soldiers, killing him instantly. Nobody is disturbed or surprised.
Ocelot: Guns of the Patriots!
They all salute Ocelot. Ocelot, still covered in blood, makes his signiture hand gesture from MGS3. We hear a well known voice
Vamp: It's been a long time crazy Ivan. All of the soldiers shoot at Vamp, but he leaps around the ceiling and is unharmed.
Ocelot: Cease-fire!
The soldiers stop shooting and we see vamp still in the rafters of t he ceiling.
Ocelot: I thought you died on the Big Shell, friend.
Vamp: I'm am already dead, and soon you shall join me!
Ocelot: Despair for fortune?
Vamp is furious, and throws a series of blades. We then cut to see Snake running to avoid detection from a Metal Gear Gekkou until he is cornered. Snake tries to defend himself, but the Metal Gear starts to attack him. Suddenly there is a burst of gunfire, and Snake is saved.
Feminine voice: Don't move!
Snake quietly raises his hands.
Snake: This is the the first time that a female soldier has caught me off guard. I think you've aimed a weapon at me before. I'm not scared.
Woman: Careful, I'm no rookie.
Snake attempts to CQC the woman but she defeats him and throws him to the ground.
We see both of them.
Snake: (surprised) Meryl!
Meryl: I told you I'm no rookie.
We see a scene with Sanke and Ocelot (controlled by Liquid) in Metal Gear Ray. Snake aims his weapon at him.
Liquid: Finally everything will be finished! Now his legacy will end! This will be the end of les enfant terrible.
The scene cuts, and we again see Snake injecting himself with a medication.
Naomi: Snake, FOXDIE is still within you. Soon it will become active.
The scene cuts to Snake on the codec and we hear some familiar voices.
Cambell: Snake, this is your battle. But someone you know is going to help you out again
Mei Ling: Can you remembery any more Chinese proverbs Snake?
Holly White: Snake, this is Holly! It's good to spy on the enemy for you again!
The music beings to climax and we see Snake rise. On the MK-II's screen we see Otacon, and then flashes of artwork showing all the characters.
Logo: MGS4: Guns of the Patriots, along with credits.
Liquid: Snake! Are you ready to see father again?
Snake: What the hell?

The next scene is the classic humorous touch. We see the hurt soldier still in his claymore trap. He is found by his comrades
Soldier: Help!
The soldiers shoot and kill him.

I'll buy a Playstation 3 just to get this one. MGS2 is among my favourite games. I just finished it for the 182381283 time.

Yeah, I saw an article in IGN which said that most of the characters in mgs 1 and mgs2 will come back...including some surprises...
