Metal Gear Solid 4 - Official Artwork, Info, and Trailer

Hideo Kojima is "The" best maker of video games in my opinion. Always gives every single one of his projects 110%, and leaves nothing without detail, nothing not done the best possible way. He has also worked with some of the best people in the game industry, for the previous MGS's.

Just imagine what he will be able to create in PS3, maybe even the best game ever?.

I'll definitely be following this game after falling in love with MSG1 and 2. I haven't played Snake Eater, though. The premise of the game didn't really interest me much.

No, I believe you are wrong. The best game ever created will always be held by the greatest RPG ever concieved by man -- Chrono Trigger.

EDIT:

By the way, the MSG4 trailer is a MUST watch if you're a fan.

It's very clever and funny. Let's just say I was overcome with goose bumps and chills when Hideo Kojima's name flashed upon the screen as the the roar of the audiences applauses climaxed.

I also loved the Solid Snake/Rydan main character seat bit. The Rydan haters will love it.

MGS3 is probably my favourite of the series. The whole concept of catching your food works well, fiddling with 60's weapons and going around the place having to effectively use your other senses is class. Very, very challenging game.

Plus the story's fantastic.

Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence.

Subsistence is similar to the Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance project, which itself was a product that fell somewhere between an add-on and a sequel to Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. Kojima believes that Subsistence will "complete Snake Eater." It will be the ultimate addition for fans of the series.
Set to release exclusively on the PS2, Metal Gear Solid: Subsistence will feature:

A New Camera System!
For the first time ever, the Metal Gear series will do away with the conventional top-down camera in favor of a fully free-roaming third-person camera system. Instead of using the old-school system, the new moveable camera will allow players to get a longer range of view.

Online Play!
Subsistence will also allow for players to participate in online matches separated into two distinct modes. Kojima said that the team is hoping to have at least eight players able to play against each other. The first mode is a Team Battle where two groups can fight against each other. The second mode is called "Snake Vs. Enemies." This mode pits snake and other players against computer controlled enemies in "cat and mouse" gameplay.
The online mode of play will allow players to use all the techniques available to them in the regular game. this includes using the guns and grenades as usual. The CQC techniques are also available for sneaking up on an opponent and quickly taking them out. When asked about how the Snake Vs. Enemies mode will play out, Kojima mentioned that the Camo Index will play an important role, but refused to share any more details.

Extra Secrets and Goodies!
Players of Subsistence will be able to access a Secret Theater in which there will be all of the movies that have been spreading across the internet from Konami's own Japanese web site. The different movies are all parodies of the storyline in MGS3 where absolutely nothing is sacred and plenty of work is put in in the name of a good joke.
There will also be a Demo Theater mode that will allow players to go back and view any of the cutscenes from within the regular game itself. From Snake's first encounter with Eva to his meetings with The Boss to any other scene, it will all be in here.

Duel Mode!
This mode of gameplay lets Snake relive all of the boss encounters from Snake Eater. It can be further broken down into two styles. Normal Duel Mode is an exact recreation of those original encounters, while a "tweaked" Duel mode allows gamers to alter a variety of unspecificed options and fiddle with the gameplay in general.

More Monkeys!
Subsistence will contain more Snake vs. Monkey missions. Once again, snake will be pitted up against the monkeys of the Ape Escape games. They'll be runnign rampant in more locations from MGS3 and must all be captured before the time runs out.

More Paint!
Facepaints that were available in other versions will now be available in America. Want to get the Union Carlos stuck onto Snake's mug? It's right here.

Old-School!
Both MSX versions of Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 will be included. This is not the bogus Snake's Revenge that was made in America, but the true sequel that was once the domain of importers. History buffs and retro gamers rejoice.

The original MSX games are bloody hard, mind. I think I got as far as infiltrating Zanzibar Land and then died in a lift.

heard the rumor that MGS4 will be the last of MGS series for Hideo Kojima. Yoji Shinkawa will also leave afterward.

As a matter of fact, Hideo Kojima did receive death threats from the fans if he won't make the MGS4. He intends to bring the best MGS game ever this time & a good ending as well.

[unofficial]Should any of the MGS series continues, it won't be Solid Snake anymore as the main character. Raiden will be in his place. That's the intention of his game in MGS2 earlier...[unofficial]
