ronaldo had been broght off because of his stamin problem , it is not manager's fault

c.ronaldo had ran too much in first half, and second half his breaking through was not sharp any more, why shouldnt coach brought him off? tell me?

and dont blame the keeper plz, that shot from seedof, even u had buffon there, it would be the same. that ball is too hard to grab , because it is very sudden and a powerful shot.

u blame the coach and the keeper to much because u man UTD fans dont wanna accept the reality.

san siro....not a good place for man utd definitely....

We will see what kind of place san siro is for Manchester United, but italy is definietly a great country for us, there is no doubt about that, especially Delle Alpi is our favourite destination for tourism. (H)

What cracks me up about these pages and pages of rants from United fans calling for Carroll to be dumped in favour of Howard is this:

THE LAST TIME HOWARD PLAYED HE LET IN FIVE GOALS AGAINST MAN CITY RESERVES.

(H)

What makes you think he will be any better against AC Milan???

United res 1 City res 5

KARL BERMINGHAM had a night to savour with four goals as City sank United in the Manchester Senior Cup.

The Republic of Ireland U19 international striker was clinical in front of the net as Sir Alex Ferguson's fledglings failed to make their mark at Moss Lane.

City will now meet United in this year's final in May. But this warm-up encounter - the last of the group stages before the final - saw City dominant from start to finish.

A Tim Howard blunder gifted the Blues' second-string the lead after only four minutes.

The big American made a dreadful mess of punching clear a cross from Bradley Wright-Phillips and Bermingham scored his first of the evening with a delightful chip.

Bermingham doubled City's advantage five minutes before the interval, moments after Howard had tipped a Nedum Onuoha header against the post.

United's Giuseppe Rossi finally struck lucky two minutes later, latching on to an underweight pass from Stephen Jordan.

But then Wright-Phillips was felled by defender Jonathan Spector and Bermingham made no mistake to clinch his hat-trick from the penalty spot.

City were 4-1 up three minutes into the second half. Bermingham saw his cross cannon off Adam Eckersley for a bizarre own goal which wrong-footed Howard.

Then a mix-up in the United penalty area saw Bermingham wrestle the ball free, dribble past Howard and coolly slot home in front of a crowd of 663.

MANCHESTER UNITED: Howard, Picken, Eckersley, Hogg, Spector, Ngalula, Bellion, Jones, Ebanks-Blake, Rossi, Poole (Martin, 66). Subs not used: Collett, Heaton, Campbell, Timm.

MANCHESTER CITY: Weaver, N D'Laryea, Jordan, J D'Laryea (Laird, 80), McCarthy, Onuoha (Collins, 71), Flood, Bennett, Bermingham, Wright-Phillips (Miller, 68), Logan. Subs not used: Matthews, Schmeichel.

I wasn't talking just about the 99 ;) . 2 seasons ago comes back to mind aswell.

Giggs return to form, if you don't remember ;) .

And rhimzone, don't forget that City's reserve IS better than United's reserve imo, and just Howard and Rossi can not carry the whole team. It was a crap night and i am not surprised that Howard let in that many. For keepers a lot of their play is based on their confidence, about like 50 percent if not even more. If Howard was given a chance now, his confidence would jump sky high and he would show Milanistas, how to use those twistas. (H)

You only mention Howard and Rossi cos they are the only players you know (H)

For crying out loud, the guy makes a blunder in a reserves game :kader: why trust him in the Champions League????

Face it, Ferguson made an error in not signing someone in the Janueary window. And that mistake could well mean the end your hopes in the Champions League :D the buck stops with the manager, not the players.

You could do worse than putting Silvestre in goal, maybe swap with Brown at Half time seeming you can't decide among yourselves which is best.

Nah, the rest just suck. You should take it as a praise to your team, your reserve team of coarse, since your first team would only make it as waterboys in the united first team :p , however i do admit that Dunne is better than any Chelsea attacker.

But seriously, Howard made only two mistakes in his United career (both this season) and how many times did he save us in chances that were almost impossible to stop? Carroll is a good keeper, but nothing special. Howard on another hand has aggresivness, give him the defense Carroll had, then we would have more clean sheets right now for sure. That Man City reserve game was one off, as after that he proved with good performances against Exeter and then Chelsea (Duff's goal, no keeper would have saved)

I think you would be quite happy to have James between the sticks at the moment - look at his game against Chelsea.

Absolutely Not!

James is as brilliant as he is diabolical, and one game he'll be amazing, pulling out unbelievable saves, and the next... he'll be David James.
