I originally thought it was 'Rooney looks like a fat Pepe' and then I would have hated arnau because he is obsessed with Pepe but now I get it and its funny.

The PL has definitely been strange this year in terms of inconsistency.

Why did you have to let Wigan out of the relegation zone? They'll do the exact same thing next season, do nothing of worth until the last 8 games of the season and then show up. They're dreadful.

It really annoys me that Wigan are in the premier league. I dont like Dave Whelan or any of their players, and also Wigan is not a football town, it's a rugby league town, your average Wiganer (Wigger (H)) doesnt give a **** about football. The ONLY thing I like about that entire **** hole of a club is Martinez.

Instead of trying to get a midfielder to replace Scholes we should just put Rooney in there and find a good forward

lol thats a good idea but you'd be losing Rooney's goal scoring touch. He's best at the striker position so I prefer him there for now. I'm sure Rooney will eventually play in midfield later on in his career just like Giggs.

Scholes is amazing. He looks like he's in his 20s. He's having a much better season than last season. I think the 6 months rest did him good. United won 11 in the 12 games he played and drew the other 1 game.

We responded how we should've had and that was great to see. That was probably the best performance in the last few months maybe. Last week's loss was what we needed to kick our asses a bit and get us going. We were unlucky not to have scored more. Evans has been great both in defense and attack. He's the one who assisted Nani. He's made so much progress and is definitely ahead of both Smalling and Jones for now.

Look at Nady's sig for why that's a bad idea. Who is going to make up those 32 goals? And is Rooney even that great in the midfield? Midfielders honestly aren't that hard to find, but you have to actually buy someone. You're telling me it would have been hard to get Sahin last summer?

I don't know man, maybe. Ferguson has been unsuccesfully trying to replace Scholes for a while. I still think that if we can buy a world class striker he would get as many goals as Rooney. A lot of those goals are from pks and some freekicks, Rooney has been playing this season more as an attacking midfielder, same position Scholes used to play like 10 years ago.

Yea, Modrić would be good, especially now when Spurs fans are not delighted with him, and if Spurs don't catch CL place Modrić's staying at club will be very questionable.

I was quite impressed with Bannan in the last game TBH. He's no Modric, Scholes or Sneijder but he would cost half their price and he's just 22. He could develop into the "next big thing". Having a good left footed player as well would help in FKs and corners.

Under proper guidance, I think he can become very effective in our squad.

I said that when the season started.

Bannan is a decent player but signing him wouldn't exactly be a glorious step forward. If you're targeting youngsters I rate Rodwell as a better prospect. Modric is your man - Ferguson has made no secret about wanting him and he wont be so difficult to get as last season, and even if Chelsea come after him again I would expect him to pick champions United over Europa League\fourth place scrapers Chelsea provided you make a decent offer. Shame, I would really like to see him in blue.
