Speaking of racism....... Evra appearing before the Anfield crowd today. I wonder how that will go down....

It would be a pretty backward script if we could make something out of this season, there have been so many disappointments and sheer embarrassments.

1-6 against City, Crystal Palace, Europa League football and now being knocked out of the FA Cup by a distinctly average Liverpool side.

There hasn't been too much to cheer about since October. Even winning away against City was riddled with criticism and scepticism.

I just can't imagine us still bouncing back and winning the championship and making this season a success. I'm trying not to be too pessimistic, but this reminds me of the years 2003-2006 where we were in transition.

EDIT: I forgot to mention our extensive injury list and the fact that we seem to be breeding a new kind of academy graduate who tries to engineer moves to other clubs.

The awkward moment when Liverpool's number 18 and 5 scored against Man United... (H)
Overall though, thought United didn't deserve to lose.

Well.... unless you count EUROPA, it's gonna be a trophyless season for at least one of the Manchester Clubs......

Just realized there's still 16 games to play in the premier league. I'm still positive about winning the league - City aren't much more consistent than United. Both have been pretty ****, actually, just the the 1-6 being the decider at the moment. I wouldn't be surprised even if Chelsea would come to haunt Manchester in april/may.

Yeah I expect Chelsea to make a run on the title, a bit like last season, though like last season actually winning it may be a dream too far!

Um.. that's your fault for never giving them a chance in the first team despite constantly complaining about a lack of depth.

Haha yeah Darron Gibson made 20 appearances last season so you can't complain about lack of space in the first team!

Quite true, though it's not like these players have been rotting in the reserves. They're 18 and while you do see more and more players get more action at a younger age, they do still have plenty of time to be integrated.
Though I would rather have seen us try out a few youngsters than get Scholes back...
