Good luck to Brown, funny to think he's been with United for some 20 years! Although most of my memories including him also inlcude an awkward own goal he has been a good, loyal squad player for us...

As for Gibson probably leaving, YES PLEASE!

He's been at United for 15 years (1996 till now). Besides Giggs, he's the United player with the most United appearances in the team right now.

Yes, he's been a good servant. Always there when needed and always did well to cover for others.

EDIT: O'Shea also having Sunderland medical. What the hell? I know he's average and not good enough as starter but his ability to play as a utility player is second to none. Its been the busiest summer since the past few years so far. Hopefully we get some cash to spend on a central midfielder with the cash we'll receive from O'Shea, Brown and Gibson.

Yeah Brown's been with the first team since '96 but if I'm not mistaken, he joined the academy in '91 or '92.

Never been a fan of O'Shea but it might be a big, big mistake to let him go now, without getting someone else to the centre of the field or ****, even the defence, who will back up Evra? Injure-prone Fabio, Gill or ****e Evans? Gonna a be a long summer and hope we won't have to be dissapointent in August.

EDIT: Rumours are that our 20 mil bid for Nasri has been rejected by Arse :O

As mentioned O'Shea is a good utility player not spectacular but gets the job done and he can play anywhere across the back.

Is anyone aware of a young full back stepping up into the team? From the youngsters i know there's none that have been touted as stepping up just yet. As established full-backs all we have now are the Da Silvas and Evra.

^ Evans IMO should be permanently played at Left back. He would be a good backup in that position. He should never play as CB again because he sucks in the air.

Anyone remember his performance against Chelsea? Did well to cover for injured Evra http://s143.photobucket.com/albums/r146/cc_ruirui2/?action=view&current=JonnyEvans.mp4

Also, Emile Izzaguire from Celtic (LB) said few weeks ago that we were interested in him. I don't know much about him but heard he impressed in his first year in Celtic and won some individual awards.

EDIT: Both Brown and O'Shea transfers have been confirmed. I am very disappointed with O'Shea leaving. Its been a year with many significant departures... O'Shea, Brown, VDS, Neville, Scholes, probably Gibson too.

No official bid has been made for Nasri. Don't read stupid websites.

EDIT: BBC actually says we made an offer: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/14062305.stm?

I hope thats true. Nasri would be a dream!

Best of luck to them. Sunderland now has a Man Utd II. Richardson, Bardsley, O'Shea, Brown, F. Campbell. They previously had Yorke and Welbeck too. They also have the other Ferdinand, Anton.

Oliver Gill can play LB and Reese Brown RB, but neither of them are good enough to back up Evra or even the twins IMHO...

People forget that he's just 23. He's just 1 year older than Cleverley and Chicharito. Last season injuries screwed his season but he played well. He's finding the net more often now. The talent is certainly there. Remember the Blackburn game in which his pass percentage was 96.5%? The game we won 5-1.

Pre-season trainings sterted few days ago and the team will fly to USA soon.

De Gea, Chicarito and Jones will get longer holidays and will join the team a bit later.

BTW, De Gea gets the number 1 shirt from VdS, Jones number 4 from Hargreaves. Ashley Young is number 18...will take time to get used to that.

Thanks.
2 and 6 are still not taken. IMO Rafael or Fabio should get 2. Can't decide who though because both are almost equally as good!
