What's the injuries for Smalling and Chicharito? Probably won't be out more than a week or two tops.. Fergie will nevertheless find a way, he always does

Help?

Our first team keepings getting picked off with injuries. So annoying, friging Cole, what a bitch.

Great win over Chelsea though, 4-1 would have looked nicer but a win is a win and Man City tied to. Isn't this our all-time best ever start in the EPL in terms of points as well? can't recall ever winning the first 5 games. Next up is Stoke away, pretty difficult place.

guys, did you follow Ravel Morrison games?

I think he's a very talented midfield. I hope Fergie gives hime some chances this year, I'm sure he will shine. I think he can be much more effective than Carrick/Fletcher with some experience.

He's Scholes favourite player as well.

didn't Nani get like half of those assists cause he was taking all the corner kicks? could be just me though.

Ronaldo joined United when he was just 18, Nani joined when he was 20. Ronaldo became CR7 at 22, Nani is already 24.

Nani is a very good player but I doubt he becomes an unstopable force like Ronaldo for us.

33/2 is still 16.5, 4.5 more than ronnie. so even if thats true, he still is performing 'better.' otoh, the two year age difference is a bigger deal; nani's approaching the age where you're at your peak performances, so to expect him to improve much more might be unreasonable.

still, portugal better start performing; those two playing on the same team is seriously scary on paper.

Chicharito will be out for few weeks, really a big shame. He was just getting started to find his best form, **** you Cole.

Btw, Pogba will debut against Leeds. I hope he does well, am really concerned about ******* midfield, we badly need some talents there.

Usually the guy playing on the right (e.g. Valencia) would take the corners on that side and the guy on the left (e.g. Nani or Young) would take corners on that side. The corner kicks are shared between whoever is nearer to the corner for the most part. Sometimes Giggs, Young, Nani, Anderson, Carrick or even Rooney.

Starting to find his best form? Really? He was invisible in the Chelsea game. He made 17 passes in the 79 minutes he played against Chelsea, completing 14 of them. Berbatov on the other hand made 14 passes in 11 minutes and completed all of them. He's made a good return though with 2 goals but thats hardly his best yet.

I think Berbatov probably should have started this but we won anyway. Even when not really having much of the ball, Chicharito's presence helps keeping defenders off Rooney leaving him with more freedom.

EDIT: Good news about Chicharito. He's back in training on Wednesday. I knew he didn't have a bone break because he wouldn't be able to walk at all. The only thing I feared was a ligament injury that could keep him out for 1 month or more.

EDIT 2: Just read that Welbeck is back in training since last week. Might be fit soon. Another good news.

0-3 at First Half. Very strange lineup but I guess that's the only way to give some playing times to all players and especially forwards.

Good game by Giggs and Park. TBH, I think even this old Giggs is better than Carrick and Fletcher as a central midfield right now. Off course, he can't afford much physicality. Really good game by Park, he's everywhere and is fighting for every ball.

If Sir Alex can adapt Valencia at RB, it would such a phenomenal move. Valencia is physical, fast and has good crosses. I'm sure he and Nani can form a good combination at Right side and one apparently can join forwards as well. However, I'm not certain about Valencia's defense abilities. As I said, it would be a great move if it works.

Didn't see much from Diouf and Macheda, they look so confused at their new posts. Diouf plays so wide and Macheda always comes to the penalty area.

Decent game by Berba and Owen. Fit Owen can be a great addition to the squad, Berba played faster tonight and his short passing looked good. Can't believe Owen is 32 now!!!!!

I hope Fergie subs Macheda and gives Pogba a good run.

Regarding Strikers, I think it would be a good idea to loan Macheda now and keep Diouf till January, in case all others are fit, he can be loaned as well. Somehow they should get first team experience.

Btw, Carrick as CB is better now ;).

As a United fan, I'm so excited and happy to see lots of young talents in a team. Great academy work. Let me point out key positive points:

1) Squad depth and young talents
2) Valencia at RB
3) Pogba - impressive debut, he has all tools to become great player
4) Giggs ,Park, Owen form
5) Welbeck return
6) Finally playing time for Barba
7) Fryers

I classify our midfield players like this:
1) Anderson
2) Cleverly
3) Giggs
4) Park
5) Pogba
6) Fletcher
7) Carrick

It was like 2 feet from the goal line. I really don't think this was a bad challenge.

I think you mean it wasn't malicious, as Cole was looking away, but look at how high Cole's boot was, it was a bad challenge.
