We lost to our selves today, a lot of shaky moments, especially in defence. Anything other then the match itself today was beautiful and a great day to remember the Busby Babes. City played well today, but I feel that we could have beaten them if we played the type of football like we played against Pompey the other day. I think the occassion over motivated our lads today and it backfired. Ronaldo, Scholes etc all had their scenario in their minds of playing a great game etc....but they forgot that City will be out there to spoil the day, game raising fools but a well deserved victory for them. The league isn't decided yet, but if Arsenal win tomorrow it will be difficult for us to defend our title

You must of had the sound down mate, it was loud and clear.

He's implicating that the fans at Old Trafford aren't Manchester United fans or he doesn't recognise what is Man U.

Yeah fair enough, We too have "fans" like that, sad to say.

I am heartbroken - United needed to play with passion and they didn't. They only had once in a lifetime to mark the 50th Anniversary of a tragedy that shaped the club. and against Man City and they played halfhearted. Part of me will never be able to forgive them - no matter how much they win in the future.

Today was a chance for them to show just how Manchester United can rise to an occasion - Today was one of the biggest days in United's history and they allowed themselves to be out thought, out fought and out done.

Also why wasn't Benjani booked for taunting our fans?

not a taunt, it's his celebration... he's done it after almost every goal with Pompey this season, not sure what it means exactly... there was a thread on it not too long ago though

Yes but the FA made a rule whereby any celebration done directly to opposition fans (i.e inciting them) is punishable with an automatic booking. Gary Neville was booked for showing his badge in front of the Liverpool fans and he was 50 yards away! Everton even reported us to the police when United celebrated in front of them.

So report him to the police then. But come on, how much difference would a yellow card make to the end result, he was pulled off after 75 minutes anyway. You know the result hasn't gone your way when you start moaning about YELLOW cards.

No, we sucked today. But I hate how United players are made example of all the time - Inconsistent refereeing is very hard for me to take.

I think constantly changing central midfield isnt doing us any good other than keeping players happy. If I remember correctly we were doing pretty well when we only played Carrick and Anderson every match (Scholes and Hagreaves were both injured at that time).

Anyway bring on Arsenal.

Why did we keep playing long balls all the time?
Ronaldo in the middle didn't work either.
But anyway, the fans of both clubs really do deserve credit for the way they rose to the occasion.

YELLOW CARD: Untrustworthy
No.. There are still too many games to be played and arsenal still have to play liverpool, chelsea, and you guys. Lots of things can happen from now till the end of the season. Not to mention the teams that arsenal have to face that will try to avoid the relegation battle.

You guys can blame the tactics but we should have gotten a fourth striker the moment Ole retired. I said it before. If we want to replicate our 2002/03 title win when we had only Solskjaer, van Nistelrooy and Forlan as our strikers, we must hope Arsenal did the same thing as they did then, choke at the end.
