I got nothing to complain about with Anderson!
i did not see him at porto and did not think he had the quality's that some here in the forums claimed.
he semse like the "complete" midfielder with good passing, tackles and it looks like he read the game very well.
I also think that when he get a goal or two he will get more confident and will try going for goals himself.

Oh don't get me wrong, Anderson has been great this season - I just think that he will improve even more when he nets his first goal.

I'm just saying that it isn't a priority. If he scores, its a bonus. But as long as he is contributing and running the midfield as he has been doing, and we are still winning, I'm not that bothered about it yet.

And why does everyone keep wanting him to be like Ronaldinho. He's not Ronaldinho, hes Anderson. He's playing his game for us, which I feel has more dimensions than Ronaldinho's, and its working great.

everybody talks about Ronaldinho because that was how he was labeled when he first came to play for Porto. but even playing for us the only thing similar to Ronaldinho style of play was his technique, which he still has, but now his putting it to other uses over there.

He certainly has a much higher defensive workrate than I expected. Imagine if he builds himself up like Ronaldo did - we could have a Patrick Vieira type powerhouse.

I think we should sell Vidic, Anderson, Tevez, Ronaldo and Rooney, and persuade Blanc to come out of retirement, resign Djemba Djemba and Veron, and put in bids for Barton, Bowyer and Heskey.

The funny thing is. We could do that, and still finish above Man City in the league :)

Hey, we are doing so well, even Scum fans are starting to support us. (adobe....)

Although, one should not be surprised when supporters of Gloryhunters United cross the lines....

Not surprising when we get bought by a Thai and hire a Swede - given the type of supporters you lot have acquired over the years, they probably see the word 'Manchester' and think its all the same...

Help?

New United signing Manucho was on target for Angola as they continue their preparations for the African Nations Cup later this month.

The 24-year-old striker, who impressed on a three-week trial late last year, must wait to be granted a work permit before being allowed to complete his move to Old Trafford.

The Angolan forward struck the only goal of the friendly match against Dutch side Willem II in Portugal on Sunday.

Angola play Egypt in Lisbon on Thursday in their next warm-up match before their opening game African Nations Cup against South Africa in Tamale on 23 January.

Anyone found any footage of Manucho? been struggling to find any.

No. The best part is that them players have all finished higher in the Premier League, than City ever have :)

Wrong. Barton has never finished higher than City in the Premier League.

rhizome man, am i supposed to say it 1000 times - the only reason to follow City are the 2 Bulgarian guys there. I just must admit the fact Petrov is your best player of the season now, and i surely am very happy about it, cos he is very talented guy.

That "Manchester" starting thing might have worked with me in case i was some Thai supporter though..
I am damn sure in case Sevilla Atletico climb up in Primera the asian Sevilla fans might go the other way :D

What about letting Feltch go?

McLeish wants Fletcher favour from Ferguson

Birmingham boss Alex McLeish is hoping his mentor Sir Alex Ferguson will loan him Darren Fletcher.

Fletcher, 24 next month, has managed only 14 appearances this season and has effectively been frozen out of United's midfield.

McLeish has given a trial to AIK Stockholm's Liberia midfielder Dulee Johnson, 23.

'We are in talks with Birmingham and have given Dulee permission to go there for a week,' said an AIK spokesman

---------------------

We might as well let him go, imo. Anderson, Scholes, Carrick, Hargreaves is more than enough. Add a 'can be recalled' clause just in case we pick up a few injuries later on, but we might as well let him get a few games with the Brummies...

Man Utd signing Manucho scores again for Angola
tribalfootball.com - January 10, 2008

Manchester United signing Manucho Goncalves was again on the mark for Angola in yesterday's pre-African Nations Cup friendly against Portugal's Portimonense.

Manucho struck in the second-half, following on from scoring also last week, with a neat header to tie up the game at 1-1 before Al Ahly's Flavio hit the winner for Angola late on.

Looking good, thats twice in his last 2 warm up games.
