man if its true, and we get him, what a transfer season we have had, Owen, Teves, Nani & Anderson. 3 of them being up & coming youngsters, lets hope they all improve like ron did. Not to forget the quality of Owen.

Not to mention the returns of Pique, Bardsley, Simpson, Evans and the improvement of Eagles.

I know we've had so many false dawns over the Tevez thing, but I'm hoping against hope the deal is done tomorrow. If the worst happens, I'm not too worried about the possibility of Ronny and Rooney linking up - they're looking amazing so far. We're covered in midfield and defence - even if Gaby goes to the dippers. Nani looks class, and I'm sure owen will settle in nicely. As for Anderson, what I've seen of him he looks sensational - I hope he settles in to United's style (I'm sure he'll love the fast attacking play though)

So yeah, we looked shaky in defence yesterday - but Inter Milan are a far superior class to what we faced in Asia. It'd be like Aldershot playing United! As for the Chelski on Sunday, I think we'll do well - plus we owe em one at Wembley. :mexican:

wow 2 years, where was your source?? guess we will buy him after that.

Cant understand why smith has gone too newcastle, but good luck too him, you never know him and owen playing upfront could spark off a good connection for england. Assuming he gets to play, they got some good players upfront now.

Anyone else noticed, rossi went there, now smith? someone must like them over there?

All three goals that we conceded were poor. Evra missed his header for the first, and then easily gave away possession in our half although it could have been a foul. The third goal was sloppy give away of the possession. Positives is that our performance was good and that Adriano scored a cracking header for us :mexican:

I really hope Heinze don't go. I think we get the best out of evra and heinze when there fighting for a spot. If Evra has a off game like he does they got a quality player like heinze too come on, not too mention if we get all the defensive injuries like we did last season towards the end.

Reds transfer target Carlos Tevez has been given the all-clear to join United after West Ham confirmed that they have reached a settlement with the player's representatives.

A statement on West Ham's website confirmed: "The settlement ends the current litigation taking place between the respective parties and provides for a £2million fee to be paid to West Ham United.

"The agreement confirms that West Ham United do have a valid player's contract with Carlos Tevez and hold the registration of the player. This will be released once the agreed fee has been paid to the Club.

The terms of the settlement are consistent with undertakings given by West Ham United to the Premier League and the rules of The Football Association."

Hammers chairman Eggert Magnusson said: "I am obviously pleased that we have finally reached the end of this saga through agreement and common sense. All parties involved can now move on and truly focus on the new season.

"I wish Carlos Tevez well for the next stage of his playing career. He is a fine player and I am sure he will be successful wherever he plays football."

good news. Guess he wont be playing this weekend, should be ready for the start of the season though :) this could potentially be the strongest team we have had in some time. Provided non flop, nani been playing well, anderson looks good, we seen what owen and tevez can do, I wonder how they will all gel.

We can't officially sign and play Tevez, until West Ham get their 2 million and that has only been agreed yet but not paid. So Tevez will be coming very soon.

One thing i'm not sure about though is that the reports say, we will get Tevez on loan for a year with an option to sign. And with West Ham releasing Tevez, this means that we are loaning him out from MSI, which is a third-party and I thought that the FA is all against third-party players.

The agreement is a proper loan, whereby he is a Manchester United player for the agreed period, with MSI having no rights to move him onto another club at any time during the season. This was the case with West Ham, which is where the problems with legislation was.

yeah thats what they said on SSN too. So i guess its pretty much a done deal, just a matter of time. Either case he wouldn't be playing this weekend. Should be good for our first game or at least on the bench
