Rooney has to show more composure...he has been woeful on one on one situations. nani showed inexperience today....his decision making at times was bad. Cant get over that defeat! DAMN!

Although we are not going through,I am getting a little bit of satisfaction knowing that none of the other BIG FOUR will neither win it.

I am really fearing for Ronaldo...I think that he is real danger of a big injury these days..Hope Fergie's words doing some justice to his talent....

Knowing that none of the other so-called big four are in it left makes me feel worse. Ask Chelsea fans, they will have the same feeling.

Anyway, I think Saha's time is up. I can't defend him much longer but just when we needed him for the most important stage, he gets himself crocked during warm-up. I think Rooney, Tevez and Manucho will be our strikers next season, and I hope Welbeck or Benzema is there too. Oh yeah, look out for Mirko Vucinic. I kinda rate him but I'm not a manager, so don't mind the doubts.

Looks like fergie's getting a ban...as usual the FA being 'proactive' and taking action. They should instead look into the ref's performance.Bloody cows!

hehe, but really m8, I think its quite amazing that none of us four are through, I think the draw really favoured the lower divisions, but take away nothing from them, I really hope that a club from the lower divisions win the FA Cup, if im not mistaken, only Pompey are in it. Boro lost to Cardiff too.
It really differs us to other Cup competitions where the winners are usually from the Top Divisions.

For fans of the lower divisions, they completely deserved this breakthrough, they've been patient supporting their clubs throughout all the bad times.

The depressing feeling will disappear soon enough, our teams still have got the CL and EPL to fight for.

Right - I'm furious about that travesty of a referee and the general attitude towards Man Utd shown by the FA.

1: It seems to me referees are going out of their way to deny United decisions at Old Trafford so they can say "I had the balls to do it"

2: United's players are subjected to some of the most vicious fouls going yet Rooney lunges in (missing the ball and the man by a yard) and automatically gets booked?

3: Guaranteed Ronaldo will be seriously injured soon - In the past we've had players stamp on him, step on his ankles (studs up) and smash him in the face (all unpunished) I seriously believe he will move abroad if he is continually put at risk by this officiating.

4: It's a crime to speak against the FA. That is ridiculous, why shouldn't a referee's performance allowed to be torn apart post match? Fergie will be up before the old farts at Soho square again. But he's right, the standard of control of matches is an absolute joke.

And that's without the Martin Tyler cheering for United's opponents (and constantly talking about his beloved Arsenal) Seriously, Sky's coverage of United games is hard to listen to.

I am really annoyed about this - Had Portsmouth have played better (they didn't) and scored a proper goal (rather than a penalty - or if United hadn't been screwed over) I would be able to say "well done, they did it"

However that is simply not the case. United should have had a penalty in the first five minutes, okay we might have missed - but the tempo would have been completely different. And yes Pompey were riding their luck too with several chances United had. But I could have taken that too - afterall we robbed Munich in 99, it happens.

One other thing: Was Paul Scholes alive on that pitch? He seemed to be about as animated as an Eastenders actress.

We apologize for keeping the yellow too long
Yellow Card
Sylvain Distin:

"If every time you touch a player it is a penalty, how do you defend?

"This is football - it is a contact sport.

"I went shoulder to shoulder with him. I was not going to move out of the way.

"If you cannot do this and you cannot do that, then you are not able to defend."

This could get ugly....fast. If it hasn't already.............

Big thanks to Wigan and Chris Kirkland. This is really good news, though we should watch out since games in hand don't count for nothing, yet.

I think Distin needs to go back to the footballing school again to finally figure out what shoulder to shoulder means. I'm not even gonna be talking about the fact that he was no where near the ball.

Funny thing is, Diarra fouled Ronaldo in exactly the same manner a minute before the penalty and he was penalised with a freekick, then a minute later exactly the same thing in the box, no call. Consistency at its highest.

Also, very glad to hear that Wigan took points of Arsenal, that should definietly help us with the title charge. This also means that IF Chelsea win their 2 games in hand, they will be only be 2 points away from Arsenal and right in the title race as well. Gonna be exciting finish.

Fernandez: why do you feel worse for the fact that none of the big four are in the semis of the FA Cup? Is it because that means that none of the big four have to play extra games, whereas United wouldn't have or for some other reason?

Mikey ol' lad calm down. :)

I think Fergie will deem the fine from the FA, worth every penny as it gave him an opportunity to have a real blast at the refereeing situation. He knows the score mate, and he would have decided that it would be worth it, even before he said it.

He like you though, should try to be a little more gracious in defeat, because nothing makes a non manc laugh more, than to see Fergie losing it and blowing his top.:$

Well, eventually you gotta go for either that or a Trump-style combover look to make yourself look young. Question is which one you prefer.

Arsenal haven't won in the league for a month (H)

Well we've still got to notch those points in hand ourselves, so I'm not celebrating yet.

According to MUTV, Jeff Winter has been whining to Sky and proposing United should have the same referee for their next game by way of punishment for Sir Alex's comments...

I'll see if I can find a link.

Here's another related story, Ronaldo is "scared to show his skills"
