I found out that Heinze can speak Welsh.

Well I'd be really interested - how on earth you came to that conclussion :funny:

btw: I've seen Glichy play at some French Under-whatever level
damn impressive the young frenchman - I'd like to have him if we wouldn't have Mr Argetina, nononsense Defener Gabriel Heinze.

rumors said should be around £3m

I think that's a bit low. He's got one year left on his contract which makes for a better negotiation position for ManUtd, but Park has played extremely well in the CL and he's young. I think we're lucky if we can get him for under 4-5m pounds = €6-7.5m

Team Captain
The player, who has a German father and an Italian mother, began his career in his homeland with Newell's Old Boys. Somewhat bizarrely, Heinze is able to speak Welsh. He hails from Patagonia, an area where many Welsh people settled in the 19th century and as such the language is spoken to some degree.

Ed: I Can Replace Schmeichel
"United wanted a goalkeeper with experience, leadership qualities and who has performed at the highest level. I am that man and I am still a player with big ambitions. I believe I am now back at a level where I belong."

Well said. We really need this kind of morale and experience boost now.

Its good to see that we are aggressive to approach the players now. We should buy suitable players ASAP and settle down early. A last-time expensive signing is not good. Fergie seems to have planned and targeted some players already. Really good to see this. Of coz it will be fantastic if we get Essien and so Chelsea cant.

btw what's the difference between Welsh & English ?
Maybe he adapted so easily because he understands/speaks the language well.

"FC United"s new name - the 3 final propositions are:

FC United of Manchester
FC Manchester Central
AFC Manchester 1878

what does AFC mean , FC stands for Football Club thats what I know.

Yup, they speak Welsh in Patagonia.

I don't think he'd adapt well in England because he speaks Welsh, it's as different to English as Norwegian is.

Has the United player of the season been announced? I guess its either Heinze or Rooney.

i'd say heinze over rooney personally, he's been far more consistent.
I second that. However, Rooney scored some bloody great goals and defenders are always ignored.

PS. Dazmania's and MiCk_10's avatars are very similar. :p

But Terry got the award :p perhaps the reason is none of the Chelsea's strikers outshine the midfielders and defenders.

your avatar is brighter but both are good coz thats Eric the King! :rockman:

I know he's welsh, if you read carefully you can see that I was refering to Richie and not Giggsy.
I thought that when you said:

Richardson definetly is the ManUtd Giggs Replacement - ; Young, English, Pace, Dribbling, Vision, good Crosses and better FKs than Giggs what more do you want ?!

That you meant that all of those things were things that they have in common.

Misunderstanding. (C)

I'm glad that we've made a move for Park, and I really hope that he signs for us. Look at our other PSV signings, Ruud and Stam, you can't deny that both were great for us. Hopefully Park (if we get him) will be even 3/4 as successful as the other two were/are at Old Trafford.

For the player of the year, I voted for Heinze. He's a real leader on the pitch (as is Rooney in a sense) but also keeps his head. He's been more dedicated than even Keano has, and all this in his first season. He's showing dedication of someone who's been at Old Trafford for ten years. After Keane is retired, I think that the captain armband will go to (in order of likeliness):

1: Gazza (Would likely make a good captain, great dedication and professionalism)
2: Heinze (My second favorite pick to get the band, behind VdS)
3: Van der Sar (I'd like VdS to get it)
4: Rio (I like him as a player but he's not deserving of the band)
5: Rooney (In a few year's he will hopefully have matured to a true leadership role)
