I know Fergie he'll never spend so much on a player unless he's worth it
And Fergie is so unpredictible that he can let go of ferdinand as he did for stam and beckham :crazyboy:. Not likely to happen though.

With Vidic this could push Ferdinand to perform well consistently, just like Park is pushing Ronaldo and Giggs to perform well. It is good to have a few players whom are as good as the others....we will get better with more players fighting for the same position...

I don't think I've seen Vidic play, but if he's as good as he's said to be, and would start over Silvestre, then I'd like to see him at United. Still, he can't take priority over a midfielder.

i think his only problem his he likes dallying with the ball a little too often, but sure can be corrected right?

Ferdinand is a show-off who thinks he is some big-shot. I have to agree with Peter Schmeichel that Ferdinand only cares for himself. If he does have loyalty for the club, he can demand a contract with a lower wage now.

Ferdinand is a **** , hopefully vidic we put some pressure on him for his postion , maybe he will put in a bit more effort.
Though theres no chance of selling Ferdinand , no club would be willing to match his wages and the club wouldn't let him go cheap.

I have always wanted to see dave jones take up the dm role at our club! he is young and sure he would make a mistake here and there but he would atleast do a true dm job for us unlike smudger.

Possible replacements for keane according to press over here if hiddink takes over:

-van bommel ( would be excellent, maybe linked because he previously worked under hiddink)
-muntari ( he is young and influental)
-n. de jong (wonderkid)
-ballack for free (hiddink would love the opportunity to work with a world-class midfielder,he is free ,hiddink would go for him)
-vince grella (done wonders for parma)
-John Heitinga (does a bit of everything)
-gravesen (every1 knows about his one)

Possible replacements for scholes according to press over here if hiddink takes over:

-jason culina (as i said before)
-marco bresciano (goal scoring midfielder, abit like lampard)
-rosicky (although linked with arsenal, hiddink would go for him)
-van der vaart ( has been doing good and is a goal scoring midfielder)
-Wesley Sneijder (hiddink loves this guy)

-graham arnold has also said hiddink does consider himself a manutd type manager and would love to challenge mourinho and his team.

- and now some bad news:again rumours that van nistelrooy and henry to leave epl at the end of season. i hate these but might be true this time. van will probably stay ,as a dutch manager is coming to old trafford so he will freshen the team up with new tactics and ideas , but henry certain to go to barca or real.

* beware guyz the info i've gathered is from the hiddink's no.2 (graham arnold) at australia and the australian sports press (the world game).

Vidic tipped to seal Man Utd deal

Spartak Moscow expect Nemanja Vidic to leave the club - with Manchester United deemed to be the likely destination.
United have reportedly spoken to the 24-year-old Serbia and Montenegro defender but no fee has been agreed.

"He has told me straight that he will leave, the only question is to which club will he move?," said Spartak chief executive Sergei Shavlo.

"He was going to Fiorentina, now he's inclined to accept United's offer. We continue to have talks over the fee."

It was reported that United met with Spartak officials in London on Monday but that no agreement could be reached for the £8m-rated international.

Vidic has also been linked to United's Premiership rivals Liverpool.

Ferguson to bolster defence

Sir Alex Ferguson produced the perfect Christmas present for Manchester United by agreeing a fee with Spartak Moscow for highly-rated Serbia & Montenegro defender Nemanja Vidic.

The 24-year-old Vidic has become one of the most sought-after players in Europe after informing the Russian side of his intention to quit the club during next month's transfer window.

"I am delighted the two clubs have come to an agreement," said Ferguson. "Nemanja is a quick, aggressive centre-half and at 24 will be a terrific addition to the squad."

Although Champions League holders Liverpool and Serie A outfit Fiorentina both expressed an interest in the centre-back, United were able to pull off the coup.

The fee remains undisclosed, but it is believed to be around the £7million mark. Vidic will now fly into Manchester to discuss personal terms and have his medical, both of which appear to be formalities.

Providing there are no unforeseen hitches, Vidic is likely to be signed in time to play in the FA Cup tie at non-league Burton on January 8, with his first Premiership appearance coming in the following weekend's Manchester derby at Eastlands.

Vidic, who joined Spartak from Red Star Belgrade in July 2004, has seen his reputation soar after being an integral part of his national side's 'famous four' defence, which conceded just one goal in qualifying as the Eastern Europeans bagged a place at next summer's World Cup.

His arrival at Old Trafford will be widely welcomed as many supporters have pointed to a glaring weakness in central defence as one of the major reasons for the problems which have afflicted the Red Devils this season.

With Mikael Silvestre looking increasingly uncertain in recent weeks and Wes Brown's poor record with injuries counting against him, Ferguson needs a regular partner to bring the best out of Rio Ferdinand, who has too often dropped below the standard expected of a £30million player.
