Things aren't looking too good for Man Utd ,huh?

I think that the most realistic chance for a trophy this season is the FA Cup since both Arsenal and Chelsea seem stronger now.
:kader:

When is Rio coming back? Is Rio coming back?
He is coming back Monday, which is 7 days away. :p

Help?

Great! more injuries! Why the hell does this happen? I don't remember last time United had all of the first team players fit/not suspended even for at least a day!

Thing is...when Brown stuffs up...someone mops up for him... so its not as damaging to the team...

Oh come on, everytime Brown made a mistake it`s an own goal or a penalty . . .

Centre back is the most frustating job in football. 90 minute of focus and solid performance must be maintained. Any mistake done in the back will fatal to the team.

Rooney and Saha stay on course for United returns

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has received a lift on the striking front with Wayne Rooney and Louis Saha on track for comebacks.

Neither Rooney nor Saha will be on the plane to Lyon on Tuesday for United's latest Champions League bow but both are nearing the end of their present fitness fight.

Saha has dispelled fears of a long-term knee problem by insisting he has targeted next Monday's Premiership encounter with Liverpool for his comeback, while Ferguson will have been heartened at the presence of Rooney at his squad's main training session at Carrington on Monday.

Though Ferguson has insisted he will not rush Rooney's debut following his £27m move from Everton, it is clear the teenager is on track to recover from his broken foot within the three-week timescale set by his manager on Friday.

That means Rooney could make his first United appearance against Middlesbrough on 3 October, proving his fitness in time for England's key World Cup qualifier against Wales six days later.

Unfortunately, Gary Neville is virtually certain to miss that match with his long-time United team-mate Ryan Giggs after a scan revealed the full-back has suffered a hairline fracture of his left knee.

The news could not have come at a worse time for Ferguson, who was finally starting to see his squad come together after a catalogue of problems which threaten to derail the club's season even though it is barely a month old.

Neville's defensive colleagues Rio Ferdinand, Gabriel Heinze, Wes Brown and John O'Shea have already missed matches this season for various reasons, contributing largely to the defensive frailties so evident in Saturday's 2-2 draw at Bolton.

That result meant United begin their latest European campaign having gained just six points from their opening five games, their worst-ever Premiership start which has seen them already fall nine adrift of champions Arsenal, who still boast a 100% record.

Ferguson is expected to keep Neville's right-back role in the family by allowing Phil to continue in the role after he stepped in to make his first start of the season at the Reebok Stadium.
