It was a steady, decent and comfortable performance. The problem was that we didnt have a sustained period of pressure on liverpool. We are turning into a substance over style team.

Btw, I thought Rio was immense. Superb reading of passes and great interceptions.

Liverpool fans singing Munich. How retarted can some Liverpool fans be? ******* losers.

Not only their fans. But their players are also retarded:

Babel tweets himself into trouble

The FA could launch disciplinary action against Liverpool forward Ryan Babel after he tweeted a photo of referee Howard Webb in a Manchester United shirt.

The mocked-up picture appeared on the winger's official Twitter page a matter of hours after his side exited the FA Cup at the hands of United at Old Trafford.

...And lastly, a United fan laughing at Dalglish

its fine man, i don't want to waste my time trying to convince you. If you don't think United have been playing with style ever since EPL was created, then there is not much i can do for you.

I rest my case
rest your case with one goal? come on ... I mean it is a nice goal, and I remember thinking that when I watched it live ... if you guys had produced that kind of football week in, week out, consistently at some point in the last 15 years, then we wouldn't be having this conversation ... but Man Utd don't produce champagne football as their trademark, and they never have since I've been watching (the last decade and a half) ... it's always been about the results, not the style ...

being a Man U fan, it's understandable if you don't agree ... and, of course, there's always the 'beauty in the eye of the beholder' argument to end any "style" discussion in a stalemate ...

cole and yorke scored a bucket load of goals like that. Giggs and scoles have scored some screamers between them year in year out.

There's cantona who can be described as style, best had a infinite amount of the good stuff... there was that 22 pass goal not too long ago that was pretty special. you could go on all day thinking about style not just with goals.

The debate is pointless

So you think even in season 2006/07 United didnt play with style?

Right now I can say we are not playing with style at all. Sometimes we do but not on a regular basis this season. We are still in transition thats why. We have a new generation coming up with the likes of Giggs, Neville, Scholes stepping down.

We did play with style in the late 90s. Remember that 99 team with Cole, York, Giggs, Beckham, Scholes playing? Always a joy to watch. You'd see Giggs running down the left flank dribbling past a few players, Beckham sending on excellent crosses/freekicks, Cole and York playing 1-2 and scoring tons of goals. Not to forget King Cantona. Solskjaer as the super sub.

We had another generation of stars in 2006-2008 with Giggs, Ronaldo, Tevez and Rooney all playing in a free role position and swapping positions, which was always great to watch.

Right now we are in transition and I can certainly see us coming with a new style with a new generation soon. Nani, Rafael, Anderson, Rooney with eye catching displays and Berbatov's super back heels and link up plays. I'm confident we'll be there again. In some games we have shown that we are on our way there.

Guys, its a stupid argument on the same wavelength as Ulysses saying that Arsenal has a better starting 11 than United. Xifio has his opinion and it won't be changed by anything, so save yourself some time.

Well, I mean, they clearly do have a better starting XI. That doesn't mean they're more effective.

Dude the back 5 alone is worse than United's position for position.
