I hope Ando can put it all together, the talent is there - no question. But I worry about his attitude and lifestyle (the partying etc) also he looks quite chunky in the team photos - something that won't have endeared him to Sir Alex.

Hopefully, his recent experience will snap him out of it, and give him the maturity that he needs to realise his potential.

Yes he definitely was adapted to a more box-to-box midfielder, but I guess what Tiago was trying to say is that he shouldn't be too forced to embark in defensive play when he has such a great talent to freely create offensive plays...

Not that you need him now with Scholes still capable of creating, but if Anderson gets his game together I believe you won't be needing to buy a player to replace Scholes.

Patience is the key with Anderson. Just like Mikey said, who knows maybe his latest experience will knock him into maturity. We must not forget that he still is a kid, but with SAF on his side he will eventually mature. Giggs went through similar things when he was younger

Still, it seems odd that SAF would rather spend that money on a homeless chap who plays arguably your deepest position.

Defiantly our deepest position, but the buy was based from Carlos Queiroz. His opinion obviously still holds a lot of weight. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a return in the future. He's been watching the player for some time and told SAF to snap him up as he was gaining attention. SAF did call it a impulse buy.

I'm sure most of our young player buys happen in a similar way anyway. Fergie trusts his scouts and I don't hear much about him travelling all over the world to look at young players. I believe Fergie never went to Brazil to watch the twins, might be wrong though.

I'm sure that's true, but you have Wellbeck, Macheda, Chicharito, and Diouf. Seems odd. I guess the explanation is that Queiroz must think this kid has superstar potential, otherwise it's a stupid buy because you already have young strikers who are premiership caliber.

None of those strikers are Premiership calibre yet, with the possible exception of Chicharito. Diouf has the same chance to prove himself as Di Santo had and failed last season. Wellbeck is Championship-level, and Macheda is probably at that level, too.

Yeah, I'm not sure about Diouf, Wellbeck will have to get some kind of magic improvement pills to become a regular at United, while only Macheda has potential, don't know about his attitude though. What Fergie might have like about Bebe is that he pretty much grew up on the streets, so he footballing brain must be different from most players that grew up being coached by top level teams with the similar training drills and tactics.
