O yes, the prospect of having Hargreaves back in the not too distant future is a mouth water one. Will be like getting a new signing. Quality player, will make a huge difference too the team. Another reason that went against us in the champions league final. The guys got a powerful engine, i bet now ronaldo's gone he's our fastest player... maybe better then ron? owen dont fall over. :D

Fletcher is a Key Player for us this season. No doubt about that. And maybe It would have been different If he was there in the UCL Final last season. Who knows...

I really don't think that Fletcher's presence in that particular game would have made any difference in the outcome. ;)

there was a review about United match, the following comments are so true:

Berba's more hungry for success (you can understand it from his celebrations)

The crosses of Nani and Valencia are very accurate (Nani's improved alot)

Rooney plays more responsible in attacks and in front of goal

Fergie's big problem is midfield right now, he's looking to find a partnership like Keane-Scholes.

Maybe Yes. Maybe No. The fact is any player can change the game at these high voltage matches, through his skill, luck or ingenuity. So If Fletcher was actually present, he would have come to that with great form. And SAF did not have to had to his formation and tactics changed just for the final. So, Many things come to play when discussing about these matters. But, obviously it is very hard to imagine any team from the Past or Present matching up to the Barca performance of that day. Awesome!

Awesome (Y) Pool already defeated two times after just three matches and already defeated same time as last season(25-11-2)'s entire defeats (H)
Will be tough season for them and pool lost half of their possibilities of being a champion.

News about Vidic won't get punishment

That's great news about Vidic!

What has happened lately around the club? I was on holidays and couldn't follow the club from where I was. Apart from calling my dad for results I didn't here other news......I guess nothing much has happened....

Daily Mirror is claiming Anderson has been told he's allowed to leave United, following a bust up with Sir Alex over not being in the Community Shield squad.

I really hope there's no truth in this - Anderson is a fabulous player, I'd hate to see him leave. Plus we'd have to get a replacement.

I think it's bs......, they don't have anything to write about lately. If it was true then how come he played in the next game....

Help?

I don't know about Anderson as a starting player though. He really needs to learn English and improve his communication, this did wonders to Ronaldo and Evra and its helping out a great deal for Nani. Whereas Anderson its seems in 2 years haven't improved that much at all. He has a lot of promise, but right now none of it is getting realized.

Manchester United bust-up will see Anderson quit Old Trafford

Published 23:26 24/08/09 Exclusive by John Cross

Manchester United midfielder Anderson has been told he can quit Old Trafford after a furious bust-up with Sir Alex Ferguson.

The Brazilian star left Fergie fuming after reacting badly to his failure to make the starting line-up for the Community Shield defeat by Chelsea.

The Scot was so angry he later confronted Anderson over his actions and was stunned by the 21-year-old’s refusal to back down.

Anderson insisted he was good enough to be in the team and was frustrated at being overlooked, with rookie Darron Gibson taking his place in the squad.

And with the Brazilian international claiming he would prefer to quit rather than sit on the sidelines, Ferguson is willing to grant him his wish.

Anderson’s flare-up has seen him barely feature this season. He played 59 minutes stuck out on the left wing in the defeat at Burnley and hardly made an impact.

He didn’t even make the bench for the 5-0 win over Wigan, with Gibson being handed the job of shoring up the centre of midfield when Paul Scholes tired.

The row is a major blow to Ferguson who hoped the former Porto star would mature into a key player this season.

But having seen his close pal Cristiano Ronaldo leave for Real Madrid in the summer, Anderson could soon be following him out of the Old Trafford door.

United paid nearly £18m for Anderson in May 2007 after Ferguson’s scouts told him the midfielder was one of the best prospects around.

He fired one of the shoot-out penalties in the 2008 Champions League final win over Chelsea after coming on as a sub, and started the defeat by Barcelona in last season’s competition, but he now faces an uncertain future.

MUTV didn't mention anything - and I've seen nothing anywhere else so it could just be rubbish.

whats the story on 10m + carrick for modric???

It sounds like a bad deal, carrick has been your most consistant midfielder the past seasons...

Source, dailymirror.com, there you go. It is rubbish.

Yeah, it probably is, but it scares me sometimes :)

As for the Modric thing, Harry Redknapp himself said there's no chance. He knows Fergie admires Modric - but that's all there is to it.

And penalty taking aside, why would we get rid of Michael?

I don't think Liverpool were ever going to challenge for the title this season. Your main competitors are Chelsea and Arsenal (if they maintain their confidence).

YELLOW CARD: Untrustworthy
The moment they lost Xabi, their title challenge was done. And I hope it continues like that for the next couple of years. ManU beating their title record this year would make it that much sweeter.
