Van der Sar is out for 8 weeks. Hopefully Kuszczak will get a chance to shine (yeah I want him to be our secondary goalkeeper for obvious reasons :D)

I'm pretty sure Foster is gonna be getting that chance dude.

iT'S HAPPENED before....
2003 David Beckham - Manchester United to Real Madrid
2004 Michael Owen - Liverpool to Real Madrid
2007 Thierry Henry - Arsenal to Barcelona
2006 Ruud Van Nistelrooy - Manchester United to Real Madrid

thats because the weather in england is **** and spain is a paraise in fiscal terms for foreign football players.

That's because you got Barca who won the treble, who will naturally be able to pick players to join them and then you have Real Madrid who went crazy with the money.

Though I think your over exaggerating, there haven't been that many to leave? or have there? I can only think of ronaldo? Xabi? and thats if he goes(**edit** correction, has gone). I bet there been more players come to England from Spain and Italy then the other way around.

Yeah I can't think of any other "star" players either?

Very weird summer. Almost all the star players (in the EPL) have left for Spain. I think that next season will be Fabregas' turn

Seems like the golden EPL times are beginning to end. Maybe football as we knew it will soon be over everywhere. Talking bout the whole money-thing. Its getting way out of hand.

Very good game from us. Our wings are in very good hands. Valencia is one tough lad with incredible speed...

Valencia's been impressive... Very quick, energetic and determined. His crosses are great as well. Should improve a bit on his ball control though. Nani was great as well when he came on and could've scored. De Laet also impressed me at right back - made a lot of tackles and forward runs. The youngsters particularly showed a lot of potential in this one.

Highlights from yesterday's game:

First half: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LjDsNQ1BuT4&eurl
Second half: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_D6J88laWjc&eurl

Enjoy!

EDIT: As I have mentioned before, we are playing our traditional 4-4-2 system again and we created a lot of chances against a good Valencia side. Owen was unlucky, but he showed that with a little bit more of sharpness he will be lethal for us. Valencia is a beast! Both goals came from his crosses and I think it is a compliment as he's already being dubbel marked by opponents. Nani came on late in the second half, but you could already see that he didn't take a lot of time before deciding what to do. Delaet surprised me, defensively very good and he isn't afraid to go forward.

In fact I'd hardly call Xabi a star player either... This was the guy a few months ago they were trying to ditch for Gareth Barry. Real really paid over the odds for him. Reminds me of Heinze, but then that was a more respectable price. We have gained more star players into the prem if anything.

As for yesterdays game I thought a whole bunch of people were playing very very well. Gibson could of scored some absolute screamers! The boys really starting to Shine. Even cleverly was looking sharp.

Anderson's looking really good... making some great runs and passes. He's looking a lot more powerful to me. Evra was a beast, was really showing off some skills, as was berba with some fancy flicks.

The new boy looked real good too, he suites the united style and Owen was unlucky. The defence as always was as solid as ever and based on how the goal keepers played we should be more then fine with VDS out :).

Who did I miss... O yes... Rooney did what Rooney does, expect nothing less (Y)

In other news City Lost to rangers :D

I thought Tom Cleverley played really well and took his goal clinically. Michael Owen was unlucky, on another night he'd have got all four. Wazza looks very sharp and Valencia was very good too.

Man, Gibson hit a couple of real crackers!

Owen and Valencia are both looking great so far. I am starting to feel better and better about our chances this season.
