I'm sick of transfer issues, I don't think we chase any player at the moment? maybe, maybe if we miss any key player because of an injury, Sir Alex signs a replacement.

SAF won't sign anybody, just accept it. As it stands we don't need any additions IMO. The squad is good enough to compete for silverware.

Media are blowing up the whole situation about Tevez and Ronaldo leaving, as if the club depended on them. Tevez' role in this team was overrated and the whole team was built around Ronaldo. So the ball always ended up with Ronaldo anyway. Without him SAF can turn back to his traditional 4-4-2 attack system which has won us numerous silverware over the years and that won't change. We will see more players getting there share of goals..... Valencia and Owen have been good so far, Obertan has the potential to be a very good player, we have a few youngsters coming through the ranks and Nani, Anderson etc have showed that they are ready to fill the void left by especially Ronaldo.....So we are in good shape!

Getting big names doesn't guarentee success. Look at Real atm, it is a bit early to judge, but they aren't very convincing in the pre-season games so far.

I been watching ronaldo since he left. hes been looking good, other then one thing... the diving is back in full swing. I dont get it he's acting like how he did the first few seasons with us. I know this last season it was coming back but damn... you should see the play acting now, and there friendly's  He did take some punishment the other night though.

good clip here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gMxFGNBnlM0&feature=channel_page around 7mins 48. Take bit of a knock, so much for being protected more over there.

Only if he stopped this and the spitting of the dummy, he would be really great. I guess hes still young, hes got time.

I wonder how united fans would act if in the future he wanted to come back. 5 years time etc

Well you never know, haha. It all depends on Real's succes, how he's being treated and of course his personal ambitions. Atm he's being treated like a king. He already has a huge release-clause in his contract, his legs have been insured for 100 mln, he has bodyguards and is living large. But you never know how it will turn out....

Meanwhile whereas Liverpool already thought that this will be there year (AGAIN!), they have there share of huge blows to deal with as Alonso has left the club...

Very weird summer. Almost all the star players (in the EPL) have left for Spain. I think that next season will be Fabregas' turn

He hasn't impressed much in Real so far to be honest... But showed glimpses of what he's capable of. Maybe with time he'll have a better impact.

And even you state the fact they were all on different years. Players always have and always will change clubs and leagues, but this year, there has been more transfers between two leagues than usual.

Yeah this is what I meant. It has all been in one summer....

That's because you got Barca who won the treble, who will naturally be able to pick players to join them and then you have Real Madrid who went crazy with the money.

Though I think your over exaggerating, there haven't been that many to leave? or have there? I can only think of ronaldo? Xabi? and thats if he goes(**edit** correction, has gone). I bet there been more players come to England from Spain and Italy then the other way around.

night

Starting XI
Van der Sar is out for 8 weeks. Hopefully Kuszczak will get a chance to shine (yeah I want him to be our secondary goalkeeper for obvious reasons :D)
