This is exactly the type of game we need to be involved in before the start of the season. We need to be pushed and tested. Good game. Hopefully another fruitful workout on monday.

I think City think they can win EPL with 8 or 9 forwards, that's funny and stupid. we had three last season, Chelsea two and Liverpool 1.5 during last season. maybe they'll play 2-2-6.

The new shirts are starting to grow on me a bit. I just wish they didn't have the black ring on the collar. Plus it has to be longsleeve to look good.

I agree. I know that this is only the first pre-season match, but he played exactly like he did last season. Still frustrating with his very poor final ball and (sometimes) his inability to make correct decisions on whether to dribble, shoot or pass to a teammate in space. I don't think that he'll be able to fill the void created by Ronaldo but I really hope he proves me wrong..

There really not that different. It wasnt till 2006-07 that ronaldo really started to shine and even then he wasnt making the best moves and that was after 4 years with the club. Nani's got time.

I think he played OK during that match, his crosses and shots were more impressing than before especially in a first half. I think he should think more before he acts and that's his major problem, he has a good talent. Don't forget, we should always compare Nani's progress to himself not with the Fifa World's best player.

Anderson passes were impressing, he need to play with less emotion and more discipline.

Berba was slow and disappointing, Rooney need to use most of his opportunities and I'm glad Owen scored in his debut.

You can't judge a team after the first pre-season friendly for sure, I hope United play with more motivation and discipline on monday.

That will be a cracking match, Malaysia gave us a good workout on Saturday. Fergie has hinted that the other half of the squad will start tomorrow's match, with Gary Neville, Wes Brown and Michael Owen likely to start off.

Still it's only preseason, and really it's all about the fitness at this stage. Speaking of which, Owen Hargreaves is expected to be back sometime in September.
