Can't wait to see this later on tonight, 3 own goals lol.

People were writing us off basically before the season and then when it started but we've got ourselves right back in there and now have a better GD than the others.

We've got a tough game mid week away to Aston Villa but Chelsea are at Everton so that's tough too. FA Cup next weekend so we should have a week's break between Villa and the trip to Milan. That should play well in our favour.

Btw, anyone know if there are any websites where you can buy old football shirts? I was interested in getting some United shirts from the early 90's but can't think of anywhere besides E-bay that might sell them.

Rooney has a chance to set the Premiership record for most goals in a season. The record (for a 38 game season anyway) is 31, held by Shearer and Cristiano.

Rooney is on either 20 or 21 now, can't remember, but we have 13 games left I believe. So if he keeps up his current pace he might break the record.

He has 21 goals now. I guess its possible if he puts away every chance that he gets from now on. I really want him to top the scoring charts and hopefully have a good world cup. Then, he can be nominated for european and world player awards and considered to be in the same bracket as cristiano, kaka, messi etc.

As for the team, we are definitely high on confidence at the moment. Scoring goals, putting in great performances. Just in time for the milan clash. I really want to knock them out. Can't believe we have terrible record against them. But first have to take care of villa first. we owe them one.

For some reason, i have a feeling arsenal will get something out of the game tonight.

you should give credit to me for that name.:innocent_smile_1:

RONALDO WHO? TEVEZ WHO?

Rooney's on fire and so is Ronaldo, YEEEEEEEEEEES. We look like a real deal like now, I'm happy that Berba scored, coz I was going to kill him for that miss.

WE WANT GLAZERS OUT .... WE WANT GLAZERS OUT

Now I'm Arsenal fan for 24 hours. C'mon Wenger, Let's do it.

:33vff3o:UNITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTEDDDDDDDDDDD:33vff3o:

You truly are SG's Robbie Keane,

so how many of you are protesting?

These protests are getting more and more intense. More people are wearing Gold and Green and you can hear the Glazer chants much more now. The "we want the Glazers out" and "Love United Hate Glazer" chants.

I love it, WE WANT GLAZERS OUT.

It's interesting that Sir Alex doesn’t talk about these issues at all.

btw, do you think Valenica-Nani as LM-RM works?

why they don't change it throughout the match like Giggs and Ronaldo.

I think thats because valencia cant play on the left. He is a very one-footed player. Has he ever made a pass using his left foot?

www.classicfootballshirts.co.uk

But they are expensive.

Good performance yesterday (thanks to Sky's Football First showing United as the default game - I could watch the 90 mins) I thought it was harsh to chalk Carrick's goal up as an OG though.

Brown and Evans have a good understanding in the central defence, I wonder if part of this is Sir Alex preparing for life without Nemanja (because he is gone in the Summer) Apparently Everton's Carlos Rodwell is on Fergie's radar.

Another good game from Nani, although I think he's better on the right. Rooney ran the show as usual, Carrick and Fletch were dominant in the midfield, and following his great goal, Berba was playing much better too.

I think the draw is the best result for United today.

Draw: United 56 - Chelsea 56 - Arsenal 50
6 points above Arsenal (they'll play pool next)
same as Chelsea (we should still serve them at old trafford)

Chelsea Win: Chelsea 58 - United 56 - Arsenal 49
Two horses race, head-to-head at old trafford.

Arsenal win: United 56 - Chelsea 55 - Arsenal 52
Arsenal will be in the mix as well.

Help?

The best thing for him is to keep running the team and not focus on any of that. He doesn't need any distractions and he is still employed by the Glazers who could fire him in an instant. Noticed how David Gill came out saying how amazing and accommodating Glazers have been as soon as the Glazer chants started? They probably told him to fix it or get the **** out.

Cheers for the link and yeah a bit expensive lol.

Fair point about Vidic (although I remain hopeful he'll stay) but we still have some good options. I've heard the Rodwell one before. A lot of pundits e.t.c think one day he will end up playing CB so there could be some truth in that.

Interesting statistic I heard the other day. Apparently Rooney has overtaken Ronaldo's number of goals for United, but more interestingly in fewer games. If you'd asked me before if Rooney was more prolific than Ronaldo I'd have said no, so thats an interesting one.

With the whole glazer thing I think its difficult. If the fans push them too far then they may start selling off good players and even the stadium. Difficult situation in truth.

Chelsea winning atm but the gap would still only be 2 points.

That's impressive... Thats because Ronaldo was not scoring a lot when he just came. He scored 5-10 goals a season only during his first 3 seasons. He didn't have a free role and was restricted to his flank crossing for RvN.

And I remember prior to the 2006-2007 season we were relying on Rooney a lot. He was our best player at that time and Ronaldo was crap. Rooney has been consistently scoring as soon as he came... Whereas Ronaldo only blossomed after his first 3 seasons.

Off topic but anyone remember the 2005-2006 season? We had trouble with central midfielders and relied a lot on Rooney for creativity. We had Smith and Rooney (2 strikers) as CM sometimes. Or even Ferdinand/Rooney at CM. Sometimes O'Shea/Fletcher or Richardson/Fletcher. That was a crap season.

Hahah....wow I forgot about those days, some were convinced that Rio would work out well as CM. How a lot has changed since then and to think we started showing our current style of play that very next season.....

Yeah including me. We were all convinced Rio would be the perfect DM until we got a proper DM. The first game he played as DM he scored an own goal LOL. He was immediately dropped back to defence.

Yeah the next season was a complete change. We bought Carrick to ease our midfield problems and sold RvN. And we had bought Vidic and Evra in January of the season 2005-2006 and I remember how all of us were angry at Ferguson for buying 2 defenders when our problem was clearly in central midfield. Some were saying he was planning to play Vidic as DM LOL. It definitely paid off the next season... Evra and Vidic were immense. Our 3 strikers were Saha, Rooney and Solskjaer that season + Larsson on loan for 2 months.

Fletcher played right wing quite a bit that season, and I think that was where a lot of the fans (myself included) felt he wasn't up to snuff as a United player. Richardson had the talent, but his lax attitude was so frustrating (we had the same with Eagles) Ronaldo was still patchy so Rooney did carry a lot of the work.

Didn't we finish 3rd that year? Chelsea won the title.
