He does not guarantee 20 goals a season yet though. I am sure he will want an established striker. I hope its not Rooney though because he is finished as a striker; needs to play as an attacking midfielder but 37 m pounds Mata who is younger will then have to be on the bench.

Lukaku had scored 15 goals (which is the number of goals I think Rashford can score given his rate this season) in the EPL that Mourinho sold him. He was 21. I am not saying Mourinho will sell Rashford; I am afraid he will leave him out to the subs or reserves or loan him out.

He's started pretty much every game since his breakthrough under van Gaal - no way will that happen under Mourinho. Mourinho will make a token effort to please the fans by giving him meaningless cup and substitute minutes as third choice striker (a la Loic Remy) before shipping him off on loan in January.

Mourinho has long coveted Rooney so expect him to be centre piece of Mourinho United (and maybe get his form back)

But that's they key, he buys young stars but he doesn't like them from the academy, or that other people signed. Mourinho rates players' abilities in euros - the players with the highest wages and transfer fees must be the best - and in the modern world this is not as illogical as it sounds, but doesn't bode well for academy products. Only way you will see rashford play for Mourinho is if he sells him to Everton for £15m and buys him back for 40...

Ibramovic sounds almost a certainty with Mourinho, judging on the kind of signings he usually makes. Wouldn't be too bad if he signs for 1 year for free.

Rooney still has an important role to play at ManU but not as a striker.

Mourinho will appoint Rui Faria as assistant manager and that means Giggs will be demoted or leave. I think thats a good thing for Giggs. He should either manage the reserves (like Zidane or "pep" did before managung the first team - Blackburn are interested in appoiting Warren Joyce as manager) or gain managerial experience in another team befors coming back eventually as manager.

It really sounds like Mourinho is holding the United board over a barrel, every article I read says there is a delay whilst he demands more and more.

Also apparantly you will have to pay us a six figure sum because we still own Mourinho's image rights. Modern football....

Looks like Zelatan could be on our way but his wages could be high. A stupid Chinese club is offering him a salary of 500 k euros a week. This would be 53 m euros for 2 years. For that kind of money he would not be worth the gamble.
