We lose to Rovers then beat Tottenham at the Lane. They were like, on a 10 or more game winning streak there. Great result.

There are conflicting reports in which Liverpool's potential new owners Dubai International Capital are set to swoop for David Beckham.
A report in the Sunday People suggests the DIC have been angered by claims that they are only attempting a takeover at Anfield as a way of making money and see a swoop for Beckham as a means of showing the fans they are serious about bringing success to the club.

The former England international captain is out of favour with Real Madrid coach Fabio Capello and appears certain to leave the Spanish giants when his contract expires in the summer.

Several clubs in Italy's Serie A have also been linked while American MLS sides Los Angeles Galaxy and New York Red Bulls are thought to have expressed an interest.

However Beckham's agent has reportedly told the News of the World that 15 clubs have approached him about the player's availability, but Liverpool are not one of them, while Madrid president Ramon Calderon says he can still have a future at the Bernabeu.

He said: "After the conversations we have had in recent months, David Beckham already has our offer for a new contract on the table. Now he has to decide.

"All of us would like to see him continue at our club and extend his contract."

Dont even like to see the sight of Beckham playing for Liverpool. Especially on a day he's fielded alongside Crouch. Argh.

Newcastle played draw with United today! Thats good for us! If we keep our form, and maybe United/Chelsea loose some times, we will get close up to them!*

GO THE REDS!

I might pray (for the first time in a decade), that we don't sign Lucas Neill.

Infact, i'm doing it right now.

Mascherano would be good, but we need a goal scoring striker... as much as I'd hate to see Crouchy going, if his departure means getting a goal scorer, I'd be all for it.

We need another defender, a top class CB. Hyypia is not getting any younger and he's slooooow. A backup for Riise, since Aurelio cant defend for his life, midfield looks sorted when Momo is back, and well, signing an adapted and well established striker in the EPL would be ok. I have faith in Kuyt/Crouch tho. Especially the first, he needs to improve his finishing, and he'll be sorted. I like the way he prepares plays to our midfielders.

No we don't, we need to show more faith in Agger.

If Agger can learn from Carra and Hyppia, then he can be an excellent CB, one of the best in the world.

Yes (H) :D

Nah i thought you were suggesting we need a world class CB, when we don't we just need to buy another youngster at the end of the season. Come August, Agger should be good enough to go first team with Carra.
