Liverpool Bosses come in!

Well, the purpose of this thread is, that i would like to know how you guys are doing with Liverpool, your squads, signings and if your defence is as leaky as mine. I'm currently 4th with one game in hand, doing well in all cup competitions but my team has a bad habit to concede a early goal at home (it happened in about 4 or 5 matches in a row... ). My away record is better than the home one, not so better, but better. I have no chances to win the title at all, since Man Utd look unbeatable atm, they lost one game and won the rest, also, Arsenal are 2nd and Newcastle are 3rd. My signings are Mexes, Bellion and Zonneveld, Hyypia sucks so much for me in the game, my defence partnership is Mexes and Henchoz. Also, Heskey has scored 5 in 18 or 19... At least Bellion has been class, always comes as a sub but delivers the goods as well, and as for the other frenchies, i play them more in cup games. Pongolle scored a few but is kinda out of form, and Le Tallec has been somewhat dissapointing. Partdrige came back from loan and is outplaying Diouf so he's won a first team spot. Thats it for now, i guess i will keep you updated, also, you can keep ME updated too. So, how are you doing?

So far i have sold lots of player... just to name a few Hamman, Heskey, Carringer and others.

I have bought in Aimar Joaquin and Robinho

I got Coloccini and Bonera on free transfer.

I am in thrid season now and i have won every compition i have been in i juts got hired as England coach too So far Owen is the best player for me first year he scored 60 goals

Also some advice for you.. Get better defenders. Next sell your useless playeres like Heskey... i still dont know why you even let him start in the first place get someone like robinho where you only pay 5 mill upfron and add apperance and goal fees too to make it like a 21 mill bid but you only pay 5 mill upfront. I have bought Aimar and Joaquin this way too

Hope that helps you in anyway it can. Just makesure when you get in CL that you dont overtrain your players cuz right now i have lots of injurys and my plaeys get tired fast so i had to clam down with training. Also try to sign a new keeper. I sold Duduk and got Buffon i had 60 mill to spend on transfers. I am gonna safe the rest of what i have.

are you serious Diouf aint doing good in your game!? his really good in my game. In first season when he was a starter with Owen he got 30 somewhat goals. You should try him aging his really good.

Well, i'm in my first season, so its impossible to get a WP for Robinho or Diego, and i only have 15 mil Euros to spend. As i said, i've brought in Mexes, Zonneveld and Bellion. Bellion only for 2.7 million, and he's turning to be better than i expected him to be. Chelsea asked me how much i wanted for Heskey, i asked for 30 mil, but they're not so stupid. Although he's getting in better form now, he now has something like 13 or 14 goals in 23 games, and its getting better and better. Bellion playing from midfield is controlling the area, although sometimes he's selfish and wants to try those 30 yard goals all the time. I'm now 3rd, on the semis of League Cup, i'm unbeaten for something like 5 games and counting. As for Diouf, i cant really play him now... Partridge's form is something like 8-9-8-10-10... he's scored 2 or 3 in 5 matches, so while he's doing good i may keep him in the first spot. Also, which position do you play Diouf? As a partner to Owen, AMC or right winger with forward arrows?

EDIT: Partridge's form is 8-10-8-9-10 and he's scored 4 in 6, plus 7 assists.

I just started again today as my old file got corrupted.

I am at Jan 2004 now and I have not lost a game - I have won every game in the premiership. (18 matches) My record in those is F- 42 and A- 6, so my defence is not leaky!

DMC - Gerrard
ML - Kewell (cutting into centre)
MR - Diouf (cutting into centre)
AMC - Le Tallec
FC - Owen, Sinama Pongolle/Djibril Cissé

I have only bought young talent, like Cissé, Kilgallon (Leeds), a couple of kids from Derby, Billy Jones from Crewe, Jonathon Roux from Monaco, Lescure from Monaco, Nasri from Marseille etc.

On my old game (4 seasons) I had won 3 champs leagues, 1 UEFA Cup, 3 charity, 4 league/fa cups, 4 premierships etc.

My new training is really going well, some of the players are absolutely brilliant now!

Hope y'all like playing as the reds! (currently the 5th best team in England, let's fix that!)

My formation is similar to dave's but I use Owen + Baros upfront... also use Partridge sometimes when any midfielder is injured (ie. Le Tallec inj, Kewell plays AMC and Partridge down the left)

My formation is the same as you guys. I'm probably doing something wrong with mentalities, although i'm unbeaten for quite a long time now. I'm playing Mexes and Carragher as DC (well, for some weird reason Carragher seems to get the highest rating of my other DC's, with exception of Mexes), Zonneveld as left-back and Finnan as a right-back, Gerrard as DMC, Riise as ML, Kewell as MC and Partridge as MR. Owen and Heskey are the attacking duo, looks like Heskey has sorted out his problem and he is scoring more regularly. Plus he got over 10 assists, so i'm keeping him upfront, Bellion usually comes as a sub and Le Tallec and Pongolle are used in useless cup games. I'm not conceding much of late, and i only lost 1 game away, drew another and won the rest. In compensation i lost three at home... My greatest problem, is that i cant see WHY for gods sake i'm not leading the championship, i'm 13 points behind Man Utd and 1 point behind Arsenal, i mean, i dont think i can bring any better players at any position, every one is playing well yet the team is not topping the table. Probably because of the average start, but maybe a miracle can happen and i can get back to the fight. Sounds impossible though.

I'm having decent CM0304 speed with large database and a decent amount of leagues activated, although except for the English ones, the rest is just the first division activated. Bellion is becoming a beast, just saved my ass against Leicester away, bagging 3 goals, the game was 3-2, Kewell is injured, Heskey and Baros suspended and Owen is in need of a rest. I'll play Birmingham next, and i'll probably field Bellion as MC again, and partner Le Tallec and Pongolle, with Owen on the bench in case of a difficult situation. Tottenham seem to be heading to a financial crisis, they're Insecure atm, so if they get bankrupt i'll try to bring in Keane and Dalmat to the club. I'm using Dave's new schedule too, it's pretty good Dave, although i'm getting a few red arrows, but it's actually better than anything i would come up.

Just beat Arsenal away 4-1, oh the feeling. I feel my team can take on anyone now, i've signed on a free Coloccini and Olisadebe, i'll try to sell Biscan and Heskey, to make some more money and then maybe i'll bring in another midfielder to back up Riise or Kewell.

Play Flo-po rather than Baros, as he is essentially the same: small, quick and a great dribbler and finisher. You get to love that feeling of beating big clubs!

How come you don't play Hyypia-Henchoz? I just sold a 31-year-old Henchoz to Real for £20M and bought in Lucio from Newcastle for £5M as they were in debt. (Newcastle bought Lucio from Leverkusen for £54M lol!)

When I played with Pool Hyypia and Henchoz were utter bollocks...

When i played with 4.1.2 it seemed like every striker could go past Hyypia as long as he was fast. So I got some fast defenders and disregarded tackling... it worked ! I even played Semmy (Otsemobor) ahead of Hyypia...

Welsh and Le Tallec turned into legends after 2 seasons... Not much progress with Flopo. Gerrard sucked at DM, the only times he performed well was at RM even tho his attributes were better than any of my midfielders, he always got ****ty ratings.

Ostemobor is great on my game. Hyypia and Henchoz are leaving at the end of my season and I ham gonna play Lucio and Whitbread.

Hyypia is too slow for my liking, he's avg. rating for the season was 6.75 too, so that's not enough for me. I played for the rest of the season with Mexés and Henchoz, finished only 2 pts behind Man Utd and lost the UEFA Cup final to Real Sociedad in the 90th minute by a corner kick header... Not to mention that Heskey 1 minute after that was with the ball inside the area and Pongolle was free to score and he crossed the ball to the keeper, god i was jumping in my chair in anger... well, you cant always win. At least i'm selling Diouf for a potential (or initial, cant remember) 16.2 Million Euros and Baros for a initial 11.5 Mil Euros, 16.5 potential. I'll try to sell Heskey for a good price, and maybe even Owen (yeah, Owen!), because he likes to hide himself when the team most needs him. In every god damn great match for us, against the likes of Arsenal, Man Utd or finals he can't even get a 7, and he doesnt score in these games. On the Uefa Cup final he got a 5 or a 6, i had to sub him. And if i manage to sell both, better, as i'll have the frenchies more matured, plus Olisadebe and one more striker, and money shouldnt be a problem, so i'll try to bring Mutu, or something alike. Biscan is moaning as always and i'll cash on him too, and then i'll bring another defender. I've also brought Coloccini on a free, so my defense next season will be Mexes and Coloccini, and i'm hoping for something less frustrating... Although i'm happy with the performance, considering it was my first shot at making my own tactic on 03/04.

CF - Tevez (bought dur. 1th s.=split offer 6,5M upfront, rest in future(don't worry if you'll have the money or not, don't have to be paid out of your transfer budget. Ultra Mega Hyper Wonderkid!)
