Smart scatological humour is definitely not for everyone.

My gf felt sick with so much swear words while I was literally in tears with parts like the Lord of the Rings geek throwing up at the image of Sam taking a dump in Frodo's mouth (H)

lol it has funny effects on some people but imo it's genius.. the part about racial slurs was also brilliant :wootman:

Just watched Running Scared which wasn't bad.. CGI is getting better and better and they had nice new ideas in that one.

Ignore Good_User, he posts purely with intention to provoke.

I watched Exterminating Angel not so long ago, an absolute classic from one of my all time fav directors Luis Bunuel. An absolutely biting satire on class and tradition, fantastically shot with his usual surrealistic flair, a gem of European cinema. Does to class what Milky Way did to religion. Still cant decide which is my favourite out of the two, though.

Well everybody, it's been a long time coming but I think I've finally seen my movie of the year, the phenominal Pan's Labyrinth. God this is an incredible film, I dont think Mark Kermode was overblown comparing it to Citizen Kane, it is an absolutely remarkable achievement. Everything is fantastic, the storyline is unique and gripping, with beautiful, vivid fantasy combined remarkably with gritty realism, and the photography is just marvellous. The acting is great from everybody also and the way they whole thing is put together is just faultless. I've never seen anything like it and suspect I never will again. My movie of the year (Y)

is the story any good though? Visually it looks like something Jeunet would direct but Jeunet's storylines tend to suck.
