I watched a French documentary called Etre et Avoir yesterday.
Directed by Nicolas Philibert, it's about a school in rural France run by a teacher called George Lopez. He teaches 13 kids (that's the whole school) in ages ranging from 4 to 12. It's his last year before retirement and also the last year at the school before they head to high school. It follows the kids' development throughout roughly 9 months. It shows them how Mr. Lopez teaches them to read, write, count, maths etc. and most important of all teaches them how to get along together.

It's surprisingly engaging for a subject that seems a bit boring. It's certainly not the most interesting documentary ever but it's engaging, well filmed and you really get a sense of what it must be like for the kids and the teacher.
Apparently it's the highest grossing French documentary ever.

I looking for something to watch last night before going to bed and they were showing Supersize Me on cable so since Ive never seen it I thought Ill stay up and watch it. and wow. it was REALLY good.
I always thought that it was going to be the guy eating in front of the camera all the time but al the research he did and the interviews, that was pretty awesome.
and yes, after watching it, I have no desire of eating in McDonalds for at least a couple of weeks :p Ive also given up drinking Coke :p

ps: Im actually skinny but I try to drink Coke for 8 to 10 months then I stop and drink only Gatorade and water. then after 8 or 10 months I go back to Coke. thats my diet :p

I heard about this film, my dad said it was really good, but I havent been able to find it. Shame as I would really like to. I expect Mondovino will outgross it though by the time it gets out the cinemas.

What did you think of Hotel Rwanda?

I thought it was absolutely awesome, but lots of people seem to think it was just mediocre.

You'll like that, a good fun film, and the song is awesome too. It's one of the weaker Coen Brother's comedies though, in my opinion, it being jsut a decent film as opposed to The Big Lebowski and The Hudsucker Proxy which are brilliant.

Watched Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind. Wow, What a movie!
It's just so brilliant, confusing sometimes but eventually everything falls into place. Brilliant performances by Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet as well as the rest of the cast. And Kirten Dunst in her undies and no bra:hump:

I only worked out it was based on The Odyssey when I watched it the second time, that was a very interesting idea I thought, but it made it all the better.

Ha the dancing by Soggy Bottom Boys are funny as hell.....

Just saw the The Incridibles, that movie is deep. Now I know why it got so much hype....

House of flying daggers doesnt have a story. After I watching the movie, I was like what happened, nothing really. I thought there will be a war or something like that. The movie wasnt as good as I thought. The fighting is great of course.
Hero > HOFD.
